No full frontal nudity in The Witcher 3

Is it not W2 censored in Australia too, western maybe not dont know the laws, maybe something changed in between games in some countries

The Australian version was censored because of the "sex as a reward" scene (the elven girl you saved in act 1). The nudity wasn't the problem. Additionaly I think they only had a Age 15 rating at this time. Now they have a higher rating, so I doubt there would be any problem.

It would be best to have the same version of game for the entire world without stupid laws to forbid you to buy something you like, and developers would not waste time on censorship

This bothers me too, not because I just want to see naked pixels (I can go anywhere on the internet to find nudity), but it creates an inconsistency in the world.

Reminds me of the transitions between the Diablo games. The first had naked people/parts of naked people spiked or hanging on the walls all over the place, and the succubi enemies were all topless. Pre-release footage for Diablo 2 had topless corrupted rogues and topless snake women. Come game release, the corrupted rogues were all covered up and the snake women had been removed completely. There was only one topless rogue chained to a table for a background asset. When succubi were finally added with the expansion, they were no longer topless and were not only covered up but made more monstrous in appearance.

It's as if knowing that the game had potential to be bigger and attract new people that they went out of their way to make sure it was sanitized and not too offensive. When I was researching the first Witcher before I bought it I stumbled upon photos of the naked dryad and bruxas and I thought "here is a game that finally captures the dark spirit of the original Diablo game, not giving an eff about who it offends". I love the first game and still play it regularly. Hopefully modders bring some of that spirit back.

Nah. Its not so bad man. True, there are lot of crazy feminazis/sjw out there. But most females just dont give a fuck about this #imopressed/#killallmen#patriarhydidit bullshit.

But returning to the topic. I also feel bad that CDPR went this way. Idk, it just feel weird. I understand that in some countries they need to cover some parts, but why do it everywere. In one interview someone from CDPR said, that they didnt wanted to show Geralt dick because adding physic to it would be just too much work to do . I can understand that. But females dont have dicks, you know. You dont have to add physics there I just dont want CDPR to became another well tamed video game developer. I love them more than any other game developer. And I want them to stay "rebels".

It's not just the nudity per se, but the freedom from politically correctness it symbolizes. What I loved about TW games was that they had a different feel to them that other games lacked, because the devs seemingly did not care if what they did was considered offensive or inappropriate by some. It enabled CDPR to create a cruel, dark world that felt real and anything could happen in it, be it nudity, racism, torture, slavery, poking someone's eyes out or throwing a baby into the fire.
I don't have that feeling when playing a Bioware game, for example, because Bioware are known to be plagued with politically correctness and would never cross certain lines. When I see frontal nudity in a game, I know that the devs did not succumb to commercial censorship and it makes a difference to me.

Speaking of which, there's an abundance of bare breasts, and lack of any breast physics is very noticeable. Of course, having it everywhere might have been overly titillating and might have ruined the 'dramatic seriousness' of the story, but at least ratings-wise that shouldn't have changed anything (I think).
As for FFN, it's obvious that as the budget rises, so does cautiousness. A $40mln game just can't afford to be a 'rebel' anymore.

But who cares actually. If it's a good game people will buy. I am disappointed of the sex scene but... doesn't matter.

More into the romance storyline. The romance of Witcher 3 is impressive, it's just the empty world without being able to see your lover after the final battle breaks and crushes your heart. Words can't describe it.

I think people remember witcher 2 for Triss scene and nudity instead of its lore and unique gameplay. Its a shame Witcher 2 remember that way. Also in Witcher 1 there are no sex scene in the game just some nude romance card. Yes there are naked pixel in that game but it just represent that nature of monster and lore your dealing w/ not for sexual content.

Totally agreed they could add more unique animation for some pixel girls you romance in the game. But thanks to Witcher franchise bioware and other game franchise have a guts to show boobs and nipples in there games.

EDIT: I hope this is not a sign that CDPR is giving in to social justice, if so, I fear for the outcome of Cyberpunk 2077. We already have BioWare for politically correct RPG's.

This is exactly what is happening. As RED is growing, and becoming a major game publisher, they start to take themselves more seriously and so they feel that they have to start taking these stupid rules more seriously.

I do not give a shit about virtual nudity for sexual reasons. If you have a girlfriend, and you can see a real hot girl naked in the flesh any time you want and have sex with her, you stop caring about digital nudity and sex. The only thing is that it takes away from the atmosphere. Characters should be naked when according to their personality and circumstances they would go naked. It is the same with profanity in other games. RED still does this, but in other games it is taken to stupid levels where villains commit horrible atrocities but not say a bad word, when it is of course in their personality to do so.

It just adds to the atmosphere of the game. And it detracts from it if you know that the characters would do things like that but they don't because of some stupid age rating, that states that cutting off peoples heads is fine, but seeing a vagina is a horrible atrocity and children's heads would explode from it. It is maddening.

And is also more of an adult theme.
