No Garment Support for certain Phantom Liberty Items?

+
Hello! I have been investigating this problem for a while and am coming here to ask people who might have any clue what's happening. Certain Phantom Liberty outer clothing doesn't adapt to inner clothes nor anything extra put on top, like with EquipmentXL. Specifically, the DLC armoured vests with the shoulder pads. KEEP IN MIND THIS PROBLEM STILL OCCURS IN VANILLA CYBERPUNK. I was wondering if this was a legitimate bug, or maybe the developers never intended to add garment support for certain new clothing? Thank you in advance!

The attached images show this bug visually. Note Images #1-#3 are from just equipping a shirt and the armour using vanilla mechanics; Pictures #4 and #5 are using EquipmentXL to equip baggier shirts under the armour, to exacerbate the issue. All other vanilla clothing fit over one another perfectly using EquipmentXL - this is a vanilla bug with vanilla clothes.

It will be caused by the meshes used for the undershirt clipping through the meshes used for the armor. Not all clothing can be guaranteed to work with all other clothing without clipping issues. Doing so would result in a lot of "sameness' between all of the individual articles of clothing, simply to avoid the occasional clipping errors.

So, to fix it, one would need to re-create the texture on a mesh that doesn't clip with the armor pieces. That's something that you could probably request as a mod. Try bringing it up in Mod Discussions.

Aside from that, it's simply a price paid for variety and style.

Thank you so much for the concise answer! I will go ahead and make a post in mod discussions about this.
