Excuse me:
it seems there is no way to mod the game not even for the stuff thats already 'in'?? im talking about modding ala witcher 2 before the redkit was out

First the visual downgrade then no modding support? am i understanding this right? if so then witcher 3 = dead game as far as a pc game is concerned ( and no i wont go into any downgrade bs discussion im just stating the facts after release ) (

There are already .ini tweaks, Sweet FX settings, etc. What are you exactly looking for?

Witcher 2 didn't have modding support until much much later. A fan made the tools to edit the files early on, not CDPR.

Modding tools for W3 will arrive, but at a later date.
