Judging by one of the jan 2014 shots they released, it looks stunning. It was the image where Geralt stumbled across two muggers. That's just a back street in a poorer district of Novigrad. A lot of detail.

Are you sure this is not Vizima? Because the street and buildings look broken. Just like they should in a city that got conquered recently.
He also wears this specific amor in this Screenshot which is very likely No Mans Land which sourrounds Vizima.

I also think this because in the tailer Geralt wears his chain ring amor when he enters Novigrad.

Just my speculations anyway.

I was thinking, more like La Valette city. The road coming from the gate, (which you have to walk back up once soldiers block your way with a cart).

Do you have an image? I can't find any and I don't remember how it looks.

On this video, (sorry no pics), you can take a look at minute 11:05 and after. It is the road he is walking up to.

Edit: Ah, well seems somewhat different. It would make sense too. Probably somewhere else.

It could be. But I would like to think that there will be a complete Vizima and not just the palace/throne room.

CDPR stated that's Novigrad. Can't remember where I heard it, though. I did actually think it may be another city because of his armour, until I heard otherwise.

Thinking about it, was it the GDC presentation where they used that screenshot as a marker to show off the occlusion culling capabilities? Because that was all Novigrad.

This is the best screenshot if you asked me. It's so detail! I hope CDPR can deliver. This gonna be the BEST game i've ever played, if CDPR did not failed to disappoint.

I think it would spoil the surprise. I always like visiting a new city/hub, and discovering the various stores, etc.
