No Reply To My E-Mail

I'm very disappointed in the way CDP-R deals with e-mails, I sent e-mails to every department posing a question about TW2 via the contact link at bottom of page. I could live with 1 week before a reply but it must be closing in on 3+ weeks now. Not much sense in having the contact button at the bottom of the page if no one is going to answer people. Sincerlt, Robert1

Good-Day All,Well I'm at a loss as to where I can get the info I need so Now I will try here, maybe someone from CDP-R here can get me an answer as I have sent e-mails via links from here to every dept. at CDP-R and still haven't recieved an answer. My original e-mail asking the question was sent on April 7, 2011 1:44 PM, My last one April 19, 2011 1:49 AM below,Hello, Sent an e-mail or should I say e-mails to every Dept. at CDProject Red asking why the Collectors Edition of Witcher2 is being sold at Game Stop ( U.S. ) but not at E.B. Games ( The Canadian Game Stop ) Why Not? And Now what do I do, As I really want the Collectors Edition. Just Doesn't Seem right to sell at one chain and not the other of the SAME company. I can't even get my E.B. Games Store, here in Canada to order it for me from Game Stop U.S. but I can order it from Amazon.com ??????? Something is just not right about that set-up. Now I have to pay an Extra 20.00 dollars just to get it from the U.S. Wonder how long I'm going to wait for this game now, when it would have been nice to be able to go to my local E.B. Games 20 minutes away and buy it. The Collectors case will probably be all damaged from shipping, oh............ I'm not going to be happy if that happens. Cheers! RobertWell thats it hope I can get an answer fro CDP-R now, I know some may like digital copies, but I like to have that DVD in hand, and it is just something about opening up a new book and you can smell that fresh ink coming off the pages, and the light shining off the pages just making the pictures a little more pleasing to the eye, and I like the Witcher II case as well.

Since your question concerns a decision made by EB Games, perhaps you should direct your correspondence to EB Games instead.

You can either ask in any thread in this forum, and if the question has been answerd previously other members will help you, or write your question is this thread http://tw2.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=31346.930, where the devs periodically try answering our doubts.

As Guy N'wah has already pointed out; it's a publishing issue, so you'll have to contact EB Games or Atari. CD Projekt Red focuses primarily on developing the game. What's strange though is that I've had a hard copy of the Collector's Edition pre-ordered as well, directly from the EB Games Canada store. Perhaps it's just unavailable for preorder online? Give your local retailer a call.

WOW!!! I guess this is proof positive that the contact link should just be taken off this site because in the matter of several hours I finally got some response to my aged question. And as pointed out in the post above my question indeed was about the Witcher2 Pre-Order and EB Games U.S. and not E.B Games ( Game Stop ) Canada don't co-operate in the distribution of TW2. TW2 is availible at my local E.B. games but it is not The Collectors Edition just the regular version. Some-one has to decide at CDP-R where they would like their product distibuted or have some say in it at least, I can't believe it is, " Well finally finished, here you are sell it where you want " attitude. Well it is all mute now anyway, I didn't want ot take the chance on hoping my local E.B. Games would finally get it, due to an oversite so I ordered it from Amazon.Com. So much for helping to support my local business here......... Cheers! All, hope to God you all have better luck with your pre-order in your areas. And Bless you for helping your own businesses in your area. Sincerely, Robert1

Well, a retailer is free to decline to stock a product he doesn't want to sell. CDPR cannot dictate to EB Games "if you want to sell the regular edition, you must also sell the Collector's Edition". There's a name for that: "tie-in", and it's illegal. So the first place you start asking why a retailer isn't going to stock the product you want, is not the manufacturer but the retailer itself. If you did so and got an answer from EB Games to the effect that "we tried to get sufficient stock of the Collector's Edition, but CDPR wouldn't allocate any to us", then you might question CDPR as to why that is so.But the answer is usually one of the simple, obvious, and local ones: "we're not stocking it because we don't think it would sell", or "we're not stocking it because the margin on it is too small", or "we're not stocking it because the packaging is incompatible with our merchandising rules".

the simple fact is that there are very limited numbers of the Collectors edition... with just under 2 weeks to release time it would be physically impossible for the manufactures and distributors to create more copies. Heck In Australia it has been said that there are only 200 copies total of the Collectors Edition. Heck we sold out our allocation before signage even went up within the stores...and when the signage went up the staff couldn't explain why the item was no longer on the system.
