Come on guys, even CS & siege have walk keys. Let's wait for some patches.

This is like Chris Titus' car, which is a 5-million-dollar unique and has no cupholder.

CS and Siege gameplay is literally revolved around going slow and not making noise. Of course the walking is needed there. But for example in the game Control who really needs to walk? Even I who like walking in games didn't walk in Control and that game had a walk option for M+K.

This is actually the ideal setup I prefer. Walk by default and run with a button.

Was Dantics playing on Mouse and Keyboard?

Im not gonna get my hopes up yet. I love walk by default too! But I hope he was saying he could walk with M and Keyboard. Because we know walking is possible with the controller.

He said you run with shift. Last I checked, controllers dont come with shift-button.

Also, I assume that you use the analog stick on a controller to determine your walking/running speed..

you know how easy it is to customize buttons? its very possible to set any button on a controller to any button on the keyboard, so if somebody wants to have shift on their controller they can do that

but thats kinda the benefit of analog sticks and triggers, they can have varying degrees of function which keyboards are unable to do, like instead of just "walk" or "run" analog sticks can be somewhere in between and allow you to move at 30% or 50% speed or whatever you choose (which is ideal for most stealth situations, as well as driving)

I wouldn't trust yy to put out accurate information ever. But if this is true, it would be dissapointing.

That can be emulated on keyboard using "pulse width modulation" - AKA quickly tapping the run key while carefully controlling the time the key is depressed vs release ratio. :p😛

mouse + keyboard for a game like this? seems like a controller would be more fun... since theres no multiplayer, m+k is only necessary for speedruns

I still have hard time getting how people are able to accurately use a controller in ”fast paced” point’n click oriented games (like FPS’ or strategy games).

I can’t, for the life of me, get it working in a way that would not be clumsy and uncomfortable. I seriously suck at it. Racing games are where it works fine, though.

Well in the end I might even use the pad, considering I'm gonna do abysmal fps, especially for driving and the FF effect when you get hit or you shoot, it's a nice touch for immersion. It's gonna kill my FPS performance tho but honestly....WHO CAREEEES lol

Only 5 hours and 15 minutes until #Cyberpunk2077 is unlocked. I watched #YongYea's reviews on Youtube, and though I'm a bit concerned, it doesn't put a damper on my enthusiasm. There's one issue, and that is about how to toggle walk on/off for pc, so you don't run all the time. I planned to make episodes and upload on Youtube as I play through the game, and I'm exited to say the least!! So, having my Vee walk like a normal human being is a must. Anyway, I appreciate the work you guys at #CDProjektRed has done over the years, and I can't wait for the DLC's you guys can't wait to show us in the upcoming months/years!! (y)

YongYea said in the 2nd part of his review that CDPR dev contacted him and confirmed they will add walk/run toggle to their TO-DO list. So there's hope!

Happy?

They forgot to add some basic walk/run toggle to keyboard, which is the main input for PC.
Quite shocking actually.

It's really a matter of what you're use to.

As a kid neither consoles nor PC existed. When I got my first PC (1981) mice didn't exist yet. For years I used DOS because Windows didn't exist yet. So for me a controller is something I never got use to thus I suck with them.

Or, to be a wee bit more accurate, their mechanical counterparts hadn't yet evolved. . .

Ay, I know.
