Nocturne Op55N1: Can't get in the elevator (main quest line broken)

After receiving the notice of "Point of no return", I decided I didn't want to get in the elevator and go complete other gigs first, level up and stuff.

But when you go visit the elevator the second time around, that scene where the guard gets orders from someone on the ear piece and steps aside so you can go into the elevator no longer plays, the guard just stands there in front of the elevator.

Couldn't find any way around this, you can't push them, can't shoot them, can't run them over with your car, I simply cannot get inside the elevator to continue the main story quest.

So when I reached this point in the game I got told that I couldn't do any more side missions if I continued so I thought that I'd save it for later, I then did all the side missions I wanted and when I went back the mission doesn't want to start. The two men just stand there not saying anything...

Someone mentioned pushing themselves aganist the guard to clip through, one of the affected users managed to replicate the bug.
