Non-removable Weapon mods is not fun

I just want clothing armor/mods, the old skill tree and scaled enemies back. Being able to wipe out all of Maelstrom as a beginner is NOT the Cyberpunk I enjoyed back in 2021. Enemies just dont scale anymore and on top of weapon mods being permanently attatched just makes you have to focus harder on the little things and basically ignore all the main aspects of the game. Cant believe they actually somehow made the game worse.

If you're on PC, you still can return in 1.63 without all the changes introduced with the 2.0 update ;)
(overall, people seem to rather like the changes they made in 2.0^^)

To update my previous comment -- I have come to terms with the new system and while I don't like it better, now that I understand how it works, I'm okay with it.

If you collect a good supply of mods from the beginning of the game, you can upgrade them as you progress. Some mods are more useful than others and figuring out how they work is one of the aspects of gameplay. You 'upgrade' non-Iconic weapons by discarding them when you find a better one, and while it's aggravating to find a new weapon with the 'wrong' mod on it, you can buy or craft new weapons that will have empty mod slots. And of course, there are the [rare] X-Mod weapons that can be modded in the pre-2.0 way by destroying the old mod when installing a new one. It's new, it's different...it's just a new wrinkle in a great game.

On my last playthrough I found this to be a massive issue because essentially the "best" weapons in the game with all the maximum amount of mod slots for that weapon, all empty were complete random RNG drops from mook enemies.

You would thing us being a techie level weapon crafter, we could make better weapons than the trash enemies we meet in game.
Another massive dev oversite.
Cannot even buy the best weapons full slots all empty from vendors!

Yeah I hate using weapons that have less than 4 slots. And they really GIMPED the best dam Katana in the game (Satori). I loved that weapon until they shattered the poor things teeth on the curb.
