Nonsensical Car Model Design Asymmetry

I'm not sure if this has bothered anyone else (or their OCD), but I've noticed most cars have asymmetrical headlamps and/or tail lights. I know not every part can or should be symmetrical on a car, but it seems like they were done "just because" in this game's case. There's just no other reason than to make the car look weird. Seems like this won't be an issue once car mods start being released, but we'll probably be stuck with them for awhile. For example, I've noticed at least the following variants:
  • Headlamp on on side, but missing on the other
  • Adequate-size headlamp on one side, but a much smaller one on the other
  • One headlamp facing up and the other facing down
  • One headlamp facing forward correctly and the other one facing up/down
  • Height of headlamps different on each side
  • Tail light on one side, but not the other
  • Two tail lights on one side, but only one on the other
I'd like to know what everyone else's thoughts are on this, especially as we are expected to be manually driving these cars to places.

That's not even a problem. Most of the cars have feature that obstruct 1st person driving. Can't see shit because it's either too bright, something on the hood, or the seat's too low. The interiors are amazing, but they're ruined by the fact that you can't see where you're driving.

I've noted this too, but it doesn't really bother me. I guess it is functionality over form?

Devs, you should disable mouse look while driving.
It's pretty annoying when you're trying to steer, and mouse movements messes it all up.

Driving mechanics are still sub-par. The controls are too sensitive, and the cars slide too easily.

I would love to drive in first-person mode, but the mouse look coupled with the steering sensitivity forces me into 3rd person. The cars' handling characteristics make even 3rd person iffy.

Gotta disagree with disabling mouse. It's the only way to check left and right in 1st person. Especially when there's no mirrors. Heck, sometimes I even sit in my car and play netrunner on enemies.

Asymmetry might be in fashion in 2077. Especially with implants breaking symmetry on the human body, the aesthetic might have caught on elsewhere.

It works as an explanation.

You have a point. Then perhaps they should have a toggle option to disable that, and allow the player to drive as if they were in a standard car sim.

but then, they need to fix the handling/steering thing first.
