Novigrad's Mysterious Merchant - Possible Spoilers
Recently, I played again for my 2nd playthrough, and then I got to the point where I'm roaming around Novigrad again with Patch 1.07. After running around, I saw this mysterious halfing/dwarf/gnome merchant who was selling the stuffs of the mage who recently burned at the stake by the square. After the Witch Hunters approached and he hid, I followed the scent as I did in my first playthrough, but then, when I got to him I had no options to talk to him. I tried meditating in front of him but it didn't work. So I tried to re-load my saved file before I approached him, the same thing happened. I tried several times since I'm convinced that at least, in each try, I might get to talk to him. I gave up after several attempts, I think 13?
Any thoughts on how should I approach this quest? It's simply bugged. Should I save after I talk to him to ensure that the quest would still be in my backlog? Or simply don't talk to him and leave him be? But choosing the 2nd option would always result to a lost quest. After all, in the latter part of the game, non-humans would be burned even if they don't practice magic at all...
