I picked up the new James Patterson yesterday and - having recently discovered a terrific little comic store in Peterborough - picked up issue #1 of the new Thor, book #1 of Fables and book #1 of Saga by the outstanding Brian K Vaughan. I started with Fables yesterday afternoon and would already recommend to fellow fans of fabulous fiction.

I just finished "one hundred years of solitude" by Marquez

now i start to read "Before They are hanged" by Abercrombie and "The World of Ice and Fire" by Martin, Garcia, Antonssen

I actually picked up The First Law some time ago. Was busy though so I never finished the first book and kinda forgot about it. I should probably get back to reading it, it seemed quite interesting.

Just finished reading Baptism of Fire. Not sure what I'll read next. Have Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea laying here. Might read that.

It is really an enjoyable read, pick them up again. :)

I've imagined him with hair, not bald, but his face wins lol

Also, check this bloody awesome fanart of The First Law

Fantastic
Also, this bald guy looks exactly like my biology professor from high school...And baldness is not the only similarity :D

And of course, GRRM is on every fantasy book cover...Italian publishers are not the exception, I see...Half a King is not yet translated to my language but I have no doubt it will be: Džordž RR Martin-"Izuzetan pisac!"...
Meh, I don't like that kind of marketing...

Well yes italian publishers have this bad habit. I agree, although I do not like such advertising. The only positive thing is the praise to the author.
By the way, the thing I don't really like is comparison between authors, that smell of hidden advertising, luckily this doesn't seem the case.

Ha, however, I wrote a similar post a couple of minutes ago about another book in another forum, coincidence. :hrhr:

Few years ago I was reading Maurice Druon's "The Iron King" and on the cover was something like GRRM-"This is the real Game of Thrones!"
I mean, wtf..."George, your GoT is not real? You are plagiarist!!??" :D
