Finished Stephen King's Carrie, now reading his The Green Mile. I've seen the movie version in the distant past (as in, I remember next to nothing), and it's time to read the original version.

I’ve just finished The Road (C. McCarthy) recently, and I’ve only ever read Blood Meridian from him before. I enjoyed it, but somehow did not expect my eyes to water as much as they did, lol.
Started Our Wives Under the Sea (Julia Armfield) for something „lighter”. The story follows a woman whose wife comes back from a deep-sea exploration dive and starts exhibiting strange behaviour. I’m only 20-something pages in, but so far I’m really liking it. The body horror is so vivid I can feel my pores sweating blood alongside Leah, and their growing distance is palpable.
