Now That TW3 Has Been Out For a Year....

Now that it's been just over a year since the game first game out, what would you say the best mods are? Whether it's graphical, balancing, adding in new features...whatever.

I'm thinking of getting a couple, but I'm not sure where to start.

Thank you for that very comprehensive list. I'll begin parsing through them in a minute.

alchemy
Primer (works similarly as in W1)

camera
i use immersive cam, but you can go with any camera mod if you wish

hud
frienldy hud

also, yeah
hd eyes,
hq faces
no sword trails,

and some of the above mentioned as well
(keep in mind, you'll need to use scriptmerger, if you want to have more script-based mods

Primer (W3 feels like a proper Witcher-game again)

Witcher 2 Gear (for that nice witchery swag, instead of peasants armors)

Disable Softlock (combat now feels much smoother and is easier to control, imo)

FOV Slider (i dislike the really low FOV of the base game)

White Wolf From Rivia (in my eyes the most fitting geralt retexture)

A Night To Remember Eyes (may be a bit too sharp and colorful but i like that style)

Remove Sword FX (because I don't like the visual oil effects)

Asmodeans Lighting Mod (keeps the Vanilla lighting but tries to remove out of place looking backlight for characters)

Extended HUD (gives you more options to calibrate the HUD)

HDReworked (nice retextures, even though I don't like the fuss around it)

More Gwent Money (so you can pay your living by playing gwent)

HD Reworked Project - Reworks many of the lesser quality textures in the game.
Friendly HUD - Makes the HUD a lot more dynamic and potions/oils and so on can now be applied from the radial menu.
The Enhancement System - A lot more of the gear in the game can now be upgraded so that a sword or a piece of armor that you might like visually can now be used for longer
Volumetric Clouds over Skellige - Places clouds around the mountain peaks of Skellige, just like in Kaer Morhen and in the prelease footage.
Witcher 2 Gear - Bring over much of the armor pieces from the Witcher 2, replacing most of the common armors that didn't even look that good anyways.
All NPC Scabbards - Every NPC that carries a sword will now also carry a scabbard for it.
AutoLoot - Simplifies and speeds up the looting process
Ultra Grass 420 - Increases grass density and brings over the higher quality grass models from the Blood and Wine expansion to Velen and Novigrad
Weather Enhanced - Makes the weather a lot more varied
The Appearance Menu Mod - Lets you customize the look of Geralt and Roach to you hearts content

I also recommend checking out the work by the following mod authors, pretty much all of it is good stuff.

wghost81
Holgar96
KNGR
boostin4kix
skacikpl
erxv
DJ_Kovrik
rustine
CAPA14
Walteriusmaximus

Also make sure to check out Asmodean778's list of personal mods

There are plenty other good mods too out there put listing all of them would take forever and reading such a long post would probably just get boring and I have to leave some things for you to discover for yourself ;).

I am super grateful to everyone that has put in effort to make this already great game an even better one this past year, keep it up to all of you!

when I copy most of the keywords to nexus and search for them I get no results. What am I doing wrong here? =/

I use a lot of mods
but there r two that i can´t play without

First one is geralt Tw1 inspired retexture by Sircaine
IMO the best retexture mod for Geralt. Can´t even stand vanilla after played with this one

Second one is AMM (The Appearances Menu Mod) By Capa14

the best mod ever made. Tottally changed the witcher gameplay experience for me
