Nvidia DSR help - Stretching Witcher 3 Image

I'm currently running a Titan X with the most recent driver on a 16:10 TV.

I have set the custom resolution of 1728x1080 to best suite the dimensions of the screen.

I turn the DSR factors on in Nvidia control panel, mainly 2x and 4x.

When I play Witcher 3, fullscreen mode selected in the games settings, it stretches the image vertically and doesn't retain the aspect ratio.

In Nvidia's control panel, 'adjust desktop size and position' section, I have tried so many options to select scaling mode. Aspect ratio, full screen, no scaling etc. Override the scaling mode by games and programs enabled and disabled.

Cant seem to work it out. A few drivers back it displayed correctly, running 4xDSR and black bars on top and bottom of image, which is the correct aspect ratio.

I'm been searching the net for days, but cant find the solution.

By selecting "No Scaling" in Control Panel and running in Fullscreen mode in-game, it should display correctly. Try that setup again and report back if it doesn't work.

Also, be sure you restart the computer after adjusting that option in the Control Panel, then check to ensure the change stuck after the restart. If it didn't, be sure you are running an Admin user account. Apply "Run as administrator" to the witcher3.exe compatibility settings, as well.

Thanks SigilFey, tried each setting followed by a restart each time, also have witcher.exe running as aministrator. Unfortunately did not work, I have even tried different refresh rates, and running my desktop at different resolutions, it keeps stretching the image to full screen when using DSR.

I will keep trying, maybe reverting back to some earlier drivers to see if that solves it.

1728x1080 is a 16/10 ratio, so if you have a 16/10 TV there shouldn't be any black bars and it is correct if the game displays to full screen.

Also, 1728x1080 is a weird resolution. Did you try to use this more common one: 1920x1200?

Got it, it was the latest Nvidia drivers, uninstalled, went back to an earlier driver and is working perfectly.

Thanks for your help everyone.

A 16/10 TV? Are you sure? Any how most TV's use overscan[1,2] which means that they can actually "stretch" any content if it's a direct resolution match because they expect the image to be oversized, if that happens especially with odd TV's that don't negotiate the signal properly over HDMI go to your drivers and adjust the screen position/size manually (For NVIDIA it's Adjust Desktop Size and Position and hit the Size tab.).

Alternatively if you have a half decent TV it will have it's own overscan settings some where in it's menu where you can adjust it as well.
