Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to the OP. This AA method, with sharpening enabled 1) Looks objectively better than the ingame AA 2) runs objectively better than the ingame AA and 3) keeps my card cooler than with the ingame AA enabled.

Anyone who feels it looks inferior to the ingame AA, you'll need to set "AllowSharpen" to 1 in the user.ini file. Please note that clicking on "options" in the launcher at any point afterwards will cause AllowSharpen to reset to 0 (this is because the game doesn't want you to use the sharpen filter without AA), so you'll need to go back in the user.ini file whenever you make changes in the launcher.

Thanks again!

Did you make sure "AllowSharpen" was set at 1? FXAA should look better than the default AA...

Making sure Sharpen is enabled is a given, but what about the in-game AA setting? Leave it on, or disable it?

Disable it. Otherwise, there's no reason to use FXAA--it's a replacement, not a supplement.

I think it needs disabled if you use FXAA, that in-game AA isn't eating much resources from the PC, according to the nvidia witcher 2 tweak guide the AA in the game doesn't eat huge from the performance, and sharpens the textures a little

Also the Ubersampling, AA, SSAO, motion blur eats more frame rates.

Here is with in-game AA ON and OFF:

The original version was blurry. The author has improved it a lot with his last 2 versions that also improved compatibility with more games.
