#NVIDIA gpu chart for settings | claims 980 -> uber with gameworks ON

http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-is-your-system-ready

so i've found this article and the most exciting is the gpu chart with settings presented.
1920x1080, Low settingsGTX 960
1920x1080, Medium settingsGTX 960
1920x1080, High settingsGTX 960
1920x1080, Uber settingsGTX 970
1920x1080, Uber settings w/ GameWorksGTX 980
2560x1440, Uber settingsGTX 980
2560x1440, Uber settings w/ GameWorksGTX TITAN X, or 2-Way SLI GTX 970
3840x2160, Uber settingsGTX TITAN X, or 2-Way SLI GTX 980
3840x2160, Uber settings w/ GameWorks2-Way SLI GTX 980 or GTX TITAN X
Do you think this chart is meant to be for stable 60 fps?
this clearly claims the 980 can do uber+gameworks on which would be fantastic. Do you think it will be real?

It is said from their forum that with this setting, Min would be 40+ Fps, so bet 60 on normal circnstances

where have u seen thaT? i cant find it. i remember they said earlier 980 has to drop off hairworks/hbao/aa to run on total stable 60, you think the driver and the day1 patch will be so dramatic it will become 60 stable?

Nvidia has yet to put out there game ready driver so maybe then the graphic will be real because everyone i talked to who played says gameworks causes fps to drop way to much/

Yeah maybe the new driver will increase gameworks performance. honestly i dont really understand how can it take such a performance hit, while in every other game i used hbao and hairworks it literally had zero effect to performance. not even 1 fps. some games i'm talking about: ac unity, farcry 4 ,watchdogs, dying light
I was always precisely monitoring performance and doing ingame benchmarks with afterburner and i've never noticed HBAO+ taking performancehit, same goes for hairworks.

Heh sadly won't be getting that good performance but should hopefully be good enough. Is there a list that goes further down?

I have a Geforce GTX 880M, 16gb ram, i7-4700HQ 2,4ghz. Obviously not expecting 60fps but hopefully stable on this laptop

First of all, buying a 980 instead of a 970 is a complete waste of money, but it's none of my business.

Let's assume the game actually looks the same on PC and PS4 (which it doesn't):
You get 60 constant fps meanwhile on PS4 you would have 25-30. You have hairworks which provides astonishing details on the hairs (and no, it's not a gadget, take a look: http://gfycat.com/SevereSmoggyKomododragon, bigger depth of field, etc.

If you don't mind playing on 30 fps rather than 60 then yes, you're a moron for buying a 980 instead of a console given that this is the main argument for PC (along with Mods, etc.).
As for myself, I can't stand playing on 30 fps any more.
In a couple of months, mods will start popping up, and will completely tear your poor 980 apart.

Also, it has already been said again and again to wait for the 19th. The final build hasn't been shown yet.

@Gtx980card

Nice name :D

Well the devs removed that comparison video and said that it's not how the PC version looks.

@MasterZone

I also bought 2x 980 and also bought a new PSU + SSDs for this though this is also good for other games too for example GTA 5 runs flawless and Batman Arkham Knight is around the corner which also requires a 980 for ultra settings. I won't play these games while I am on TW3 but it's good to be future proof.

I built my first PC ever for this game. I'm actually still in the process of building it. I'm supposed to get a SSD in the mail today.

I'm not sure what to make of all of this downgrade business. I can't tell what's legit and what isn't.

Even if the game doesn't look as good as we had hoped, I think it will still be very enjoyable.

This is why I waited for game to come out and then will decide if I will buy for ps4 or upgrade PC, it is a problem, you could spend 1500 euros on PC upgrade and only thing you get better from PS4 is a few extra frames per second

That's a really good question. 980 is a waste of money, especially right now.

I don't really care about graphics, but the PC version still looks amazing, while the consoles will invariably have problems with fps. That's good enough for me.

The 980 has always been a HUGE waste of money compared to the 970 :/

Yeah, GTA V is also another reason I bought 2 GTX 980's. With 1 GTX 980 I was only getting 45-60FPS, but with 2 way sli GTX 980 I get 60-80FPS.
