If this is true, and an accurate translation, then this pretty much means the downgrade is confirmed. Aiming for visual parity, uber-sampling and hairworks aside, would mean the PC version will look worse for the sake of the console versions.Downgrade is a fact right now.
Piotr Krzywnosiuk - Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Lead Producer just mentioned in this interview below hat CDPR aim was a "visual parity" between all platforms, he also mentioned that there won't be any differences in graphics. What is shocking, that GTX 980 and i7 4770K produces the same graphics as PS4/Xbox One.
Link to interview, where he talks about visual parity (in polish, do not have a subtitles as yet)

The more likely inference from that statement is that the consoles will be at parity with the minimum-spec PC. That would not be any kind of downgrade. If they had stated, which they did not, that the consoles will be at parity with a recommended-spec PC, or that the performance of the game on PC would not exceed consoles, then you could get the brickbats out. But they didn't say that, and claiming they did when they did not smells of FUD.If this is true, and an accurate translation, then this pretty much means the downgrade is confirmed. Aiming for visual parity, uber-sampling and hairworks aside, would mean the PC version will look worse for the sake of the console versions.
PC obviously not limited to 30fps & 1080p. The more important question is, whats beyond resolution & fps for PC?The reply to one question recently had PS4 at 1080/30fps, X-Bone at 900/30fps (with an intent to work towards 1080, but no guarantees), PC unspecified, but I *highly* doubt it will be limited to 1080/30fps/same IQ...
Well, they said that the PC will have options consoles won't. That means that there will be a difference between PC and ConsolesI love how people try and justify the notion that there won't be any visual downgrade when the Lead Producer says that there won't be differences between platforms.
textures looks great, no doubt, but there are other things that wasn't as well done. Juts honest observation (of course opinion).I was just watching direct feed, holy christ it looks goooooood. I love the details, especially skin textures, notice how sun reflects on this guy's arm, and that tattoo, my goodnes, it's beautiful (please enlarge the screen)

Good to know. However, its not clear how significant will be the differences.Well, they said that the PC will have options consoles won't. That means that there will be a difference between PC and Consoles
So they'll have TXAA and HBAO+ or things like that.Well, they said that the PC will have options consoles won't. That means that there will be a difference between PC and Consoles
They confirmed Ubersampling returning in todays Q/A on stream.PhysX and Cloth can and do work on consoles, perhaps even Hairworks.
Also where exactly is Ubersampling mentioned as being there? It's a form of AA, one that is very expensive.
That's an Nvidia image. Ubersampling is in house. They mentioned it on Stream on the dev commentary. You didn't listen to it? They also said PC will have Nvidia Hairworks (More detailed than console. The wolf demo is Nvidia)PhysX and Cloth can and do work on consoles, perhaps even Hairworks.
