I don't think such decisions can be influenced by what people might say on the Internet. I think the decision to delay the game was being discussed at CDP for a certain time now. The trailer "debacle" might have been the final straw, though.
I'm not going to lie, there was over the top complaining here which was counter productive to say the least. But there were bad, offensive, downright insulting posts from both sides here, ignoring that is unfair. Ultimately, if this thread really achived the delay I can say I'm happy with the effect it's had.The way in which people choose to complain in this thread has been horrendous. Do you think after reading all this trolling on this thread is going to make the developers happy and excited to finish working on the game. No. This thread sucked the souls out of the developers. There is a good way and a bad way. This thread was the fucking troll way.
you above all other members should me more careful about what you saying get your facts right and checkout the offical youtube channel from DA:IShould be? According to what? Do you have any market research data showing that releasing highly detailed promo materials 3 months before game release - when it's "all hands on deck" time and everyone in the team is busy as hell to ship the game in the best state possible - will give them desired results? As long as in the "desired results" column we put something else as "pleasing hardcore fans that can't wait for the game and will buy it anyway" ?
Did you notice when the most of Dragon Age: Inquisition trailers and live streams emerged? Around a month before release, right after the game went gold. Before that it was just a few (mostly bad) screenshots here and there and a weak ass trailer every few months. And guess what? It sold a shitton and already got a GOTY2014 title.
A delayed game is not always eventually good though. Stop with the horse shit quotes please. There's plenty of delayed games that still ended up bad.I'm not going to lie, there was over the top complaining here which was counter productive to say the least. "A delayed game is eventually good. A rushed game is bad forever"
Yes. Now imagine how they would have ended up if they weren't delayed.A delayed game is not always eventually good though. Stop with the horse shit quotes please. There's plenty of delayed games that still ended up bad.
This type of tone is not condoned around here. Keep it civil please.Stop with the horse shit quotes please.
Still going to be downgraded whether it's in May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December. They bit off more then they can chew and I think this is going to flop compared to the expectations.Well ,now you can stop your complains about downgrade because CDPR got time till may , when the game will be released.
What?Still going to be downgraded whether it's in May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December. They bit off more then they can chew and I think this is going to flop compared to the expectations.
