Occasional double input with Xbox one controller (A button) (PC)

+
Hello there.

So, a few weeks ago I bought an Xbox One Controller to play the Witcher 3 on my PC (I've already played the game with M&K) and so far I've loved the experience, but, for some reasons, from time to time I get the occasional double input when pressing the A button (action button). I've noticed it mostly on dialogs, picking items or playing gwent cards).

-I play with the cable (I don't want to deal with rechargeable batteries)
-The bluetooth on my computer is disabled
-The control is new, original and third generation
-My W10 is up to date
-The game runs constantly +100fps on my PC, no stuttering

Is there a way to fix it?

Are you playing on Steam? On Steam the settings from the Big Picture Mode might help...

EDIT: No idea if it is useful (never had that issue myself, so I can‘t test it), but I did find I reddit post that might help:

Thank you for your kind answer. Actually I already tried the first option described in that post but still had no luck. And no, I'm not playing on STEAM but the GOG version. As I said, it's not something that happens very often. Maybe once or twice per hour of gameplay.

I could be wrong but it sounds more like a computer specific issue than a game specific one. Make sure that there are no other applications running in the background that might even remotely interfere (I would close everything non-essential in the task manager to rule that out...).

You could also try an Xbox 360 emulator - but no clue if that helps:
I found one here https://www.x360ce.com/ (never used it myself).

Well, I updated the firmware of the controller and also removed the ethernet cable (it was failing). Now It seems to be okay.
