odo's dog? (secret garden)

ive played through this game several times already.

one thing i could never figure out, what is up with odo's dog?

like theres a cutscene and it growls at you. geralt says "what are you hiding?" or something like that.

only thing i can think of is to blast his dog house with a sign..maybe theres something buried under it?

..or is he just growling @ the echinops underground?

thanks.

"Echinopsae are monstrous plants born of curses which grow in places where terrible crimes have been committed if the crime in question was never atoned for." (journal entry)

Something bad happened at Odo's place; if you've played through the game, you already know this. The dog may have been a witness, and probably is guarding the remains.

Nothing to find in Odo's garden but those aggressive weeds, though.

It's a subtle clue, not something that you need to dig up. ;)

Having just played this part, I have come to the conclusion that the dog belonged to Odo's brother, and the area he is barking at is where the brother was buried. At least, that's what I think.

Like you, I've always assumed that the dog was barking at the brother's grave. I don't know whether it's the brother's dog or Odo's dog, but thinking of it as the brother's dog makes it all the more poignant, so let's think that. :D

also its the only dog that does not turn into Bargheist. maybe thats why Witcher is so suprised, thus the cutscene

I thought there was something to dig up near the place where that dog stands and barks
