Ok CDPR, this need to be changed/fixed

I posted more about how Night City map is not complete here and potential future DLC's
here

Hey,

first things first, English is not my native language, but I'll try my best. I hope you will understand what I want to say here. So.. in Cyberpunk there are plenty of good things, but also "some" very bad. This is my personal list, it's not objective view so there is a chance to find things you like, but I don't. That's ok. I'll (try to) not mention missing features or clear problems like bugs, performance issues, but I can't say it won't happen. I know some of them were already mentioned.

1. Shards
Ok, I have no problem with shards to complete story, its fine. What is my problem is looking for shards I have to read for missions (for example Cyberpsychos), this need to be reworked. Maybe listing last looted shards from top?

2. Text massages
I already met probably all characters in this game, so if I do quick mission from Regina Jones and there is option to reply to her (happens very often), I have to find her between 30+ contacts. It's annoying, why is it not sorted by last massages first?

3. Locking your favorite items
You will get notification if you are trying to dismantle Iconic, but not every weapon you are using have to be iconic. Look at Destiny 2, it's there and it work as it should - You just lock items so you can't sell them or dismantle. (video how it should work)

4. Inspecting clothes
Going to shop and not be able to try clothes you want to buy is weird. Buying item for 25000 eddies and find out you look like an idiot? Yeah before buying anything I have to save and if I don't like it I have to re-load my game. *clap*

5. Consumables
I have sh*ton of consumables, and in my 140hrs I never used them. Going to inventory and find specific one? Nah, I'll pass it and I'm not gonna use them (even if I want to). This need to be reworked and I don't know how.

6. Armor (stat)
This is by far most useless stat in this game, I play on Very hard and even if you have over 1500 armor you will most likely get one-shotted if enemies are not lower level (sometimes even on very low mission your HP just.. disappear). Make this stat more relevant or stop giving me green arrow because it's better. No it's not. Armor is useless and my legendary helm with 10 armor and 3 sockets is waay better than your 63 armor. People will ignore it anyway, because if you going for max armor you will look like an absolute idiot. Or give us transmogrifier, but it's not going to happen, I know.. we don't even have barber shop, yet.

7. Talents
Balancing talents is hard, I know. It's fine, I don't care if they are super op or not, it's only singleplayer game (for now). But there are some which are.. I'd say stupid. For example Dragon Strike. You need to have level 20 blades, probably around 50% of my kills are with blades and I'm at level 16. I have done all main missions, all GIGS and a lot side missions. So I guess I'll reach level 20 after I do everything in this game. I would say it's not very good design, because that perk will be useless after I stop playing.

8. Looting should be priority
"Oh there is gun over there! Nah, I'll rather look to mirror to see how ugly I'm. Oh and you enemy guys.. Wait a sec please" This is so annoying, looking for good spot to loot something? You can see tooltip of that item but you can't pick it up because looting is not "set to priority". (example, example2)

9. Mantis blades
Very cool and for some people iconic weapon of Cyberpunk 2077. I love them too. Unfortunately fatality animation is too long, you can't use them in fight. Make animation shorter and I'll love to use them again.

10. Oh boi.. Overwatch
This have to be nerfed or if not nerfed don't even try to put it in multiplayer. Yes, I know this is advice to "far" future, but we'll see wallhackers for sure and with Overwatch? Your multiplayer mode will be way worse than GTA.

11. Map
Red background is cool, but what's not cool are icons. They are verywhere, but still sometimes very bad visible and very hard to click. You need to adjust them, or at least let them not overlap.

12. Not Skippable phone calls
Oh NCPD officer calling! Oh man, I don't care, just let me skip it so I can double jump again. No.. for real. Let us skip phone dialogues.

13. NPC LEVEL/POWER SCALLING
In my 2nd playthrough I stopped doing everything for awhile and just roaming and clearing NCPD calls. Well.. now i'm level 47 and everything is "very low" level and I don't even started with side quests. Shooting someone with 50cal to head and do 30dmg or absolutely smash everything is bad. It's not working in shooter games and you should add level scalling. Because I'm sure with my level 50 character I'll destroy everything in New Game plus at the begging. In the mission "Play it safe" I killed Oda in 32secs with my 37 level character on very hard. And it's not about skill, it's just clicking on attack with my Mantis Blades.

14. NCPD
We know NCPD is broken, teleporting behind you is not how it should work. I'm sure we will see changes. For example NCPD car chase is in the game and not scripted (Kerry mission), but it's very broken. What I want to say is more about how you get wanted. Because if I one shot civilian in Badlands I shouldn't be wanted for crime, because no one saw it. In original Mafia The City of Lost Heaven you could kill police officer and if no one saw it, you wasn't wanted. I throwed once grenade on group of enemy dancing among civilians and I instantly had 3 stars and 5 officers with drones right behind me.

15. Vehicle health points
Ok, 2 hits with Mk.31 and car explode. We are not kids anymore, and we know cars not boom. Give them more health please, or remove explode effect. Look at Mafia II or GTA IV, your car stop working sooner than it explode.

16. Activities with your partner!
Ok, I love Aldecaldos, they are my family and I simp Panam. I want to take Panam to party, to shooting range or just on picknick after we clear enemy base. For example GTA IV had option to take your girlfriend to date (I think GTA V not). There are some glitches how to do it, and it works.. well.. it's very simple, because your mission partner just running and shooting, but better than nothing.. I guess?

17. Minimap while driving
Static minimap is big deal, you'll miss a lot turns. This is something that need to be changed.

18. Imposters
Imposters are good thing, I like it. It's adding more life. But it doesn't look good in Badlands or if imposters are spawning right in front of you. (video)

And now some quick (already mentioned before) missing features or problems
19. Vehicle customization
20. Barber shop
21. Tattoos salon
22. Better NPC behaviour (better "AI")
23. More in game activities, petting cat or riding rollercoaster is good, but we need more. Like.. bowling, darts, shooting range (that's already in the game, but locked behind "side quests")
24. NCPD fixes
25. Reduce incoming calls
26. switching level points (you can switch talents, but you can't switch points from Body to Intelligence if you want to try different build)
27. ability to sell/dismantle multiple items at once
28. more sniper scopes, my eyes appreciate it
29. ability to put vehicles to your garage, so you don't have to scroll 2mins and find your favorite vehicle or just give us option to remove bought vehicles
30. Ability to disable EPS or whatever is it, it's almost not possible to make controlled drift. Car is very quickly stabilized or you just make skid.
31. When you are in dialogue you should not be able to accept phone call, I guess it's bug?
32. More modding tools for glorious modders
34. Buying all vehicles means you can't buy anything, you have to sell everything and do every side quest, GIG and quick job in the world and you still don't have enough. So you have to cheat or just insanely farm random crimes and kill every gang member to loot their stuff - it's not problem for me to invest more hours to the game, but for some people it can be unapproachable due to time limits
35. ability to make character, not save. Together with save games you should be able to pick character. Something like this where under every character you have your save game. I have already two characters and scrolling between my saved games is.. not necessary annoying, but I'd say not very good designed (Oh.. ofc almost every game doing this, but it doesn't mean it's good for multiple playthroughs).

Some of these things can be part of completing map. For example activities like casino and golf is most likely part of Westbrook Casino and Club DLC (rumor) I mentioned here - Night City map is not complete, yet. | Forums - CD PROJEKT RED

1500 is super low. Very hard is just a dumb version of going for maximal min/max to survive. You get legendary clothing with max slots, dump lots of epic armadillos, gets some perks for armor (like +100% cold blood) and you are rocking 6000-7000 armor which does allow you to get some hits from lower level mobs on very hard :]

The problem isn't armor, but difficulty implementation.
Your multiplayer mode will be way worse than GTA.
The online version will be a completely separate game. Don't expect same gear and rules. And if you do the missions on a relatively low level then you have a reward, while on higher levels you don't really need a sniper riffle.

The thing about the shards. There are times missions force open the shard in a popup window. Why aren't all the Psycho missions doing this.

So it means you need to go for one build to be able survive some hits, so nothing like specialisation for blades, crafting and shotguns. So armor is useless in most builds. Yes, difficulty is bad. Game is very easy but at the same time you are instakilled by low level enemies.

So just ignore armor and going full glass canon

They will learn a lot from singleplayer version of Cyberpunk, so if we point on bad design/balance choices now, they can avoid it in multiplayer.

No, armor is not useless. It can be used by any build.

Just wear all legendary gear with maximum slots (save-scum when you are picking them up from the hidden locations until you get 4 on torso items and 3 for pants/shoes/face/head), and fill all slots with epic armadillo mods (buy from shops or craft). And voila, you are pretty much 99% resistant to bullets no matter who is shooting.

You can also spec into Cool and invest in Cold Blood perk tree, which will give you insane armor and damage bonuses after critting and/or killing enemies. This will of course also stack with armor, and you can have 10000 armor on all the time. There is also a perk in that tree that makes you completely immune to all status effects alongside with all the other boosts, so you don't even need to take other immunity perks or buy resistance cyberware, if you don't want to. This makes you immune to enemy grenades, netrunner attacks and enemy weapons that come with a debuff like burning effect.

So just ignore armor and going full glass canon
Nah, you go for netrunner build and kill 1000 enemies at once before they see you :)

nothing like specialisation for blades, crafting
Who brings a melee weapon to a shootout? :D Crafting overall is pointless although tech or piercing weapons, more HP from HP items will be hard at use on higher difficulties, plus grenades, lots of grenades. And if you picked open world legendary cloth before level 50 then crafting legendary cloth at 50 is advised. 20 int, 20 tech, 20 cool, 3 body, 8 reflex or alike :D

They will learn a lot from singleplayer version of Cyberpunk, so if we point on bad design/balance choices now, they can avoid it in multiplayer.
They will look at WoW, ESO and FF XIV if they want to make a MMORPG. If they make anything based around single player game it will be a meme, Anthem 2.0 - just glorified PvE dungeons and nothing more. Games like Skyrim differ a lot from online competitive games like ESO - not only in mechanics but also players. Lots of Skyrim players never grasped and min/maxed the mechanics, while most ESO players did wanted more and more character power which let them to min/maxing even at a basic level.

immune to all status effects
It's quite handy when legendary spark effect triggers on me ;) What's funny is that it does damage to enemies - like if I block a melee enemy when it triggers the enemy takes damage.

enemy grenades
Explosions sill are nearly lethal.
netrunner attacks
If you have a level advantage you won't get hacked. Prior to that there is one cyberware for it.

I agree on most things, except armor. If anything it is broken. All you need is to put armadilos on all your mod slots and you are pretty much invunerable from bullets even on very hard, even against the toughest opponents.

As for dragon strike... Don't bother. That perk is bugged and does not work (like half of the skill tree). I do not really agree with the progression being slow. It is an RPG. to max out a stat you should need to grind it abit. If anything leveling is easy. You can max out level/skills in a day or 2 of farming, which is pretty fast even for a sigle player game.

Other than that i agree with your points.

Nice work

You bring up a lot of good points. For me, however, they really dropped the ball on the character creation. Yes, I get it, this is the story about "V" and V is their character so it makes sense to pigeon hole character creation and class/role into what they've laid out but even then, what you make of V doesn't fit any of the classes/roles from the PnP game. I don't feel like an Edgerunner. Hell, I don't feel like a Nomad, a homeless person or a Corpo in this game. Just V and that's it

The stats are completely wrong in a sense of how they work and skills are tied to those stats which, again, they don't even use the skills from the core game. I know adapting rules from PnP to video games don't always work out that great but they didn't even try and they went a gamey route with Cyberpunk 2077.

I hope they work on the police spawning and fix that. I want to hear sirens in the distance letting me know they are on their way. I want them to chase the player down until they either can catch up and take the player out or they player gets away. Once you max out your star/badge rating, I want to see ED-209's hunting us down with murder death kill commands.

The armour/weapons and ratings should be scrapped. Cyberpunk is about style, not best in slot. I get it, players need a carrot to chase and giving them better numbers with epic or legendary titles gives them the feeling of accomplishment. A lot of this could be fixed by giving players better choices in game modes. Myself, I would prefer a more hardcore and unforgiving approach to the game. If I want to wear a mini-skirt with fishnets and a tank top, I should be able not because it gives me the best armor but because that is how I want to look. Ya, I could possibly gimp myself and make the game harder because of their stat system but then everything becomes a bullet sponge and that is garbage gameplay especially for a shooter.

Also, everything should be fair game. No safe zones, no not be able to shoot someone in the face except of course main story characters, don't want to be Morrowind and completely break the game by killing all your quest givers lol. We should be able to hack whoever has the neural cyberware.

I'm sad now I created new character to level 50 and I found out, that cold blood is the way. Ok, so now I really need to be able to switch level points. -_-

I doubt they will look at WoW or ESO etc, what I expect is more like mix of Destiny and GTA. And that can be very good, but I'm not sure if CDPR can handle it, because it will be their first online openworld game. So I believe they will take a lot from singleplayer and change it for multiplayer. But maybe we are wrong, all stats will be gone and they will give us GTA Online without loot.

Just want to say I appreciate threads like this, it helps us all out, and I agree with a vast majority of your suggestions.

In regards to "buying all the cars, not enough money without cheating", Crafting is your friend. It is somewhat tedious, but still a way to make money

There are things mechanics-wise that need fixing, certainly.
But for a game that touts immersion, jogging or sprinting all the time breaks that in a hurry. Being able to toggle Walk should not be that difficult (there are Nexus mods now that do that).
Ditto with the mini map. I like a clean HUD, but do like to look at the mini map on occasion - it should be not only a toggle, but also you should be able to position it.
Clothing should be something by and large cosmetic - it should provide little to no "armor value," unless it is designed to provide protection (the various ballistic vests and helmets, for example). Protective apparel should allow for mod slots, not general clothing. Totally agree that you should be able to "try before you buy."
Make it feel less of a looter-shooter and more the RPG that was expected. It's nigh impossible to hit both marks, and the emphasis was on CP as an RPG, but that certainly doesn't come across in game play.
If apparel isn't overhauled, maybe use the Special Outfits slot for a customized apparel appearance (i.e., vanity mode).
Add one Tabula Rasa as a quest loot drop (end of Act I maybe or beginning of II) so that players can opt to respec perks once they have more of a feel for the game. While on that subject, don't auto-apply it, make it a voluntary consumable.
Make V's apartment feel more like their lifepath choice. The former corpo look should be different than the street kid look or the nomad look. That should be fairly easy to implement and would - I think - give V some distinct personality of a former life.
ps - Almost forgot my biggest peeve. Why is the combat music, etc. linked to the radio music volume? I never play immersive games as if an orchestra or rock band was following along in my footsteps. Please allow those to be toggled separately! I like taking audio clues from the environment as I play, and that is damned impossible with punk rock blaring - I miss hearing NPC comments, movement clues etc. because of that. Ambient music from nearby audio sources I can deal with - it's part of the environment, after all.

Regarding armor, a lot of damage types outside of regular bullets ignore armor. You need higher max health.

My stats are like this at this moment and it's enough to do what ever you want on very hard. I don't care about health and I'm not playing cold blood. But it's still super annoying to have everywhere armadillos. This should be reworked, I'm not interested in one mod. I want to use others.

I'm not interested in one mod. I want to use others.
I would say 4-slot chest piece or shirt with armadillos should be enough to make you safe on normal. Note that majority of other clothing mods don't stack so all those legendary mods are one-off and you end up with like tertiary mods for other slots.

I wouldn't mind a dynamic system where mob levels can scale up while armor isn't infinite while we also have way more mods - stab proof, bullet proof, elemental, blunt/stagger damage (shotguns, LMG, CC effects, blunt weapons) etc.

One of the things Bethesda REALLY did well was put in rewards for player exploration. If you spent extra time snooping into every corner and alley of the game map you WOULD often find extra goodies (diaries with lore content, special/collectible objects, stashed treasure left behind by other characters, unique weapons, alternate routes to later missions, and what I loved the most the environmental storytelling, eccetera). In this game 99% of the time it is just a waste of effort to climb protrusions, crawl under dirty pathways, squeeze thru esoteric openings, and jump risky leaps.

Please PLEASE put more exploration rewards in the DLC!

A big one for me, if I'm talking to an NPC and I get a call, I am not talking to two people, the NPC and the person on the phone!

I think exploration would have been much better rewarded if all the gig locations weren't instantly visible on the map and only appeared once you were in the area or given coordinates. You would have an incentive to explore dark alleys and side streets.
