OK treat me as a idiot cause I dont get this patching

I have the GOG original game
I updated it through GOG.com
My game sayd ready for 1_3_5 but when I try to install patch 1.35 it says I have a different version

I come here and i see ju cu ahf;qj wqkjhqrwi versions and have no clue wth they speaking of.

Is there a place I can click ONE LINK and download what I need?

I really do not understand what they want here and suspect I screw things up worse if I start following links that say download 6 versions of 0-1.35 not knowing what th eletters and other crap means.

Thanks for help here

By "ju cu ahf;qj wqkjhqrwi versions", I assume you're referring to RU and JP - those are for the russian and japanese versions of the game respectively.

Install the game, then this then this, then, if you're feeling lucky, you can try this.

Before i direct to the patches look in your witcher 2/bin folder and locate the witcher2exe and hover your mouse over it . There should be a dialog box that appears with a version number . What is the version number of your witcher2exe ?

You need these in order . without the letters
patch 1.3->1.35 - http://en.thewitcher.com/patch1-35/
patch 1.35->2.0 - http://en.thewitcher.com/patch2/

OK go to your install directory and open the witcher 2/CookedPC folder and delete all dzip files except the following

Do Not Delete
arena.dzip
elf_flotsam.dzip
pack0.dzip
succubus.dzip
then try installing the 1.35 patch i linked you to earlier

nope didnt work

so much for getting digital to save money, this new redownload will effectively double the cost of the game via 4 download bandwidth!

Between this game and SWTOR bandwidth costs, think they have effectively convinced me never to do digital download again.

uninstalling and redowning yet again

Thanks for trying

You can`t save the download files so that you don`t have to keep redownloading ? Look in Documents>GOG.com downloads and see if witcher 2 is there .

Your problem is that your ISP is capping your data--it wouldn't matter whether you were downloading purchased games or merely game demos or program updates or windows updates, etc., you are getting reamed by your ISP. Either find a new ISP with a reasonable cap (preferably 150GB's or >), or just pay for a higher tier each month and be done with with it. I realize if you are in Canada that you may have a problem with that...from what I hear, anyway.

And I really hope that you aren't trying this on those horrid 3G/LTE networks that allow you 5GB's per month and charge you $10 more every gigabyte thereafter...;) That's highway robbery--people are insane to use those devices at the prices the carriers want for data transmission.

Digital's absolutely super, as long as you don't have to pay through the nose for bandwidth, that is. Get a new ISP or change your plan. Good luck!

ok Tommy

I reinstalled game from GOG (guess they saved the 7 hour download from night before) and then it said install 2.1 so I did

loaded up game and says game ready for enhanced download (I thought 2.1 was the enhanced version???) so I clicked on bottom of lauch area to come to witcher.com,

clicked on download Enhanced version
hit run
hit allow
hit download
downloads

goto download and double click on pre patch and (the above happens again but nothing gets patched and splash screen still says ready for enhanced version?

Retried 4 more times and same thing!

So do I have the enhanced version and splash screen wrong or am I missing something!

***************************************************************

To other guy, I have a updated plan and my ISP is just fine and nothing is being capped out

When you download this game 2 times in two days it eats up a ton of bandwidth and most any plan will push you into extra bandwidth costs when combined with normal active usage over a month.

Thanks for feedback but its rarely your isp on issues like this

No 2.1 is not the TW2EE...totally different things . The TW2EE will release on Tuesday the 17th . You can predownload the TW2EE up to the last 300 or so MB that you can download on Tuesday then patch the game to TW2EE . The TW2EE can range anywhere from 10 to 14 GB depending on how many language packs you want to install . When you get the predownloader setup do not move the files until the game is patched with them

2.1 is the most current version - the enhanced edition isn't out for another couple of days.

As it is, you're good to go, however when the EE comes out be prepared to download another 11gb or so just for that patch.
