What is the meaning behind these circles in the Cyberpunk logo? I need an expert in symbolism to help me.

Nope.
Sard covets
SigilFey 's hair. Even tried to talk him into lending it to him for a while.

It looks like a printed circuit board (which suits a "cyber" theme), the circles themselves might not have a symbolic meaning, on a PCB they are used to connect different layers of the board.

They look like computer parts. Probably just to help make it look cool and cyberpunky. I doubt they have some deeper meaning.

Sometimes the answer is merely "because it looks cool."

I envision my first meeting with Sard unfolding as follows:

I enter a room, probably something like a lobby, and look around. Sard will approach directly, present me with a Pony plush toy, then reach out to run his fingers through my hair. I'll stand there for a moment, frozen between shock and debilitating horror. Then, he'll say hello and threaten me simultaneously in a way that somehow manages to come off as "congenial". Small-talk will probably move directly to Cyberpunk (while I prep the quick-dial for "911", just in case, and try to discretely dispose of the neon-blue Pony I'm now carrying). Sard will look like he's enjoying himself highly. He'll smack the hostess of a restaurant repeatedly about the face with his CDPR guest pass (which he still wears proudly) until she agrees to give us free appetizers, and we grab a seat. Hilarity ensues.

It's fascinating how often this is the sole reason for many stylistic decisions. (Although, I think the circuit-board thing applies here.)

Yes that is what will happen. You left out the bearhug. I regret not picking Eri up from behind when I met him. Or worse. Hes so adorbs. Marcin alerted him first but I had a couple seconds there.

I didnt get to Benz. Cpunk is heavily secured against even I. I presume he was safely hidden along with all the game stuff.. .

I did see other people we know but none I wanted to throttle as much as the evil Benz. " I have news. It -is- a game. There." Ah ha ha ha squueeeze pop.

Cept Eri. And those are love throttles.

I'm going to send a letter to Andrzej Sapkowski with the message "You created this", inside the envelope there will be a original copy of Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 loses key developers

"Is Cyberpunk 2077 in trouble? Although that conclusion may be a bit too hasty, it is noteworthy that several key developers left CD Projekt RED last month."

G-guys.... Devs should have something to show next year, right?

Clickbait news. It is common for some designers to change from company to company:

  1. The same happened with Witcher 3, where some designers left, but then came back years later
  2. One of the CDPR guys mentioned in the article also worked in Red Dead Redemption II a game that is about to be launched. (Gee, why is there no news saying how things are going bad for rockstar because some of their guys left? it's so goddamm normal to see some devs change from company to company)
  3. Peter Gelencser did the same thing, he left during Witcher 3 mid production, then he worked with ubisoft's Far Cry 5 and Watch dogs 2, then he came back to CDPR early this year. (again, it1s goddamm normal)
  4. Three employers left CDPR, a company that currently has 550 people in it

The reality is that there very well may be an unforeseen circumstance that requires the entire project to be shut down.

Either that, or everything will run efficiently and smoothly the game will be perfectly fine.

Probably somewhere in the middle. As usual.

It's impossible to tell. Futures are like that. Worrying profits people nothing.

Plus I'm guessing they didn't just walk out the door, their departure was probably known way ahead of time to fill their roll before they left. It happens, plus couldn't it also mean their roll in production for Cp2077 could be coming close to an end and they wanted a new title to work on. It doesn't mean 2077 is doomed.

For huge fans eagerly awaiting Cyberpunk 2077, we couldn't imagine someone not wanting to work on the game and leaving the company to do anything else but these devs could have been working on the game for a long time at this point and need something else, who knows. Its much different for these guys working on the game then it would be us to play it.

May be related to those rumors that some of the management at CDPR has a rather autocratic approach to dealing with issues/employees.

Probably a good thing when you're a starting company with not many employees, many of which had never done game development before.
But these days they're much larger and hiring some folks that have worked in the industry for years.
No single management style is suitable for all situations.

Yet not every person is expandable, at least in short time terms. These guys were managing and leading the other 500 mules, these were really important positions. Unless their job is really done and the game is really close to completion, it's a pretty big loss. It's not just four guys, it's the one who got mentioned, because it's important to mention.

And you could be right, but the same thing happened with ME:Andromeda, and the game turned out to be unfinished and lacking direction, uninspired banal mess, you name it. All symptoms of cadres' juggling.

Plus, don't forget the polish business model factor(in video game industry, same as russian's frankly) factor, squeezing all juices from the staff. With Witcher 3, CDPR became worldwide phenomenon, attractive for european and american developers. They apply, they get hired, they have to deal with polish business model, they quit.

Pish. I have a few friends who work for various companies here in the US that complain about the same thing. I wholeheartedly accept that there are companies (more often "branches" or "departments") that are run like sweatshops. However, I find that more often than not, it's simply the individual's inability to strike a work / life balance. In regards to people being "squeezed", that's more likely the result of an employee who forgets how to use the word "No."

A: "Oh, hey, we need you to stay for an extra shift tonight to finish XYZ."

B: "Sorry, can't do tonight. What's needed exactly?"

A: "No, we really need it done tonight."

B: "I would if I could, but I've already got a commitment. Try to give me a few days' notice next time, I would appreciate the overtime."

Now, if there's no "overtime pay", and/or the management is under the impression that they're within their rights to keep pressing the issue -- you're in a sweatshop! (Time to look for a new job or take it up with higher management!) In reality, though, I've found this to be exceedingly rare...in any industry.

The issue is normally a result of the employee feeling obligated to say "Yes", stressing themselves out needlessly, not even bringing up added compensation, and leaving the management so pleased that they are willing to take it all on for free. So...I'll overwork myself when I really shouldn't be, for no tangible reward, and make myself more likely to be subjected to such requests in the future. Cycle of bloody destruction.

On-topic, TW3 supposedly suffered a lot of coming and going as well....and that worked out just fine. As long as someone is leading with the ability to fulfill the vision, think on their feet, and utilize the talent they have at their disposal, the game will come together just fine.

There are western folks working at CDPR right now that have been there for over 2+ years, so I don't think it's about the way Poland runs business.

Sometimes just want to go work on something else, you can't just trap people at your studio. I know in our eyes it's worrisome because we anticipate this game with bated breath and can't imagine someone wanted to leave and do other things, but they do. Also, I don't think they left without ensuring someone can take up their work.

This is usually the basics of how it goes in the private sector in the country I live:

1. Employer X has a contract with Company Y for a limited period of time (or possibly to complete deadlines specified in the contract).

2. Company Y can extend Employer X's contract for a longer period of time once it ends.

3. Employer X may receive invitations to work for other companies during his contract.

4. This is where the other companies can persuade Employer X to work for them.

5. After Employer X's contract period and deadlines have ended, he might stay or simply leave and work for another company because he wants money, personal experience, etc.

I hope this is the case, because if this is what happened to CDPR then it's just like any other company. Which doens't imply that "things are bad CDPR".
