MIchal Kicinski plays management simulations games in his spare time, while Marcin Iwinski plays Fallout 2 whenever he has the time. They're like ying and yang.

As long as it isn't invasive or necessary in any way. Online tends to be the sort of feature that dictates what the game can not do with it's mechanics (what can't work in open online environment), and that's something I can't really look favorably at.

Well unless the games seamless features only relate to social hubs then I expect most features to translate from single player to multiplayer. I'm imagining a sort of Dark Souls/Destiny/Watchdogs style online features. Invasion of PvP might be part of the deal if one wants to go online to co operate. Everyone wants to be in their safe zone bubbles in Cyberpunk, that just doesn't make much sense but I'm sure there will be "non combat zones".

Interview about how ambition they want to be for Cyberpunk 2077. Huge living, breathing city with flying cars, real time AI and online multiplayer mechanics. Flying cars, oh hell yeah, I expected as much. Also the game is being built on high end gaming technology with new facial capture camera rigs.

Hope to see some really good character models. Lets see if they can reach Naughty dogs level.

Well the interview is, if there were gameplay, then muthafuckers would be hyped lol. There hasn't been new information since 2012.

I think they already surpassed Naughty Dog based on my opinion and favourably with E-sports Gamers since I’m more like Open World Sandbox Multiplayer Type of guy who is looking more on Gameplay not on Experience. It’s not like I don’t like or prefer playing Naughty Dog games.

Rockstar and CDPR is what more on level. Doesn’t matter if it’s on Graphics or on models. It’s CDPR is flowing like a water each generation while Naughty Dog is a futuristic technology who doesn’t need to go through all of that.

I would just kill any hopes of Multiplayer in Cyberpunk 2077 not having death matches, pve stuff. You guys should check this out:

CD Projekt CEO calls online "Necessary" for Cyberpunk 2077

https://www.rpgsite.net/news/6329-cd...cyberpunk-2077

I saw people already taking this out of context. Kicinski doesn't say anything about online mode in Cyberpunk in this interview. He's response that multiplayer is necessary (in polish he used word "needed") or recommended to achieve a long term success is to the interviewer own assessment that he can't imagine CDP pulling out greater numbers then Witcher 3 without some kind of online component. He doesn't mean that players will have to play multiplayer or anything like that.

I could ( easily) be wrong, but Kicinski's interviews ( in last two years)leave sort of impression: profit, mainstream, profit!

So you're surprised that CEO of a huge company talks mostly about profit? Especially as most of his interviews are made by the business oriented media. Sometimes I get the impression that a lot of you guys are forgetting that game developlent is business like any other. And business is all about making more and more money.

I wouldn't expect some sort of overview of all the mechanics of the game until they're near ready for release based on their prior statements about it.
"We're impressed with Fallout 4's rollout. They came on stage and said 'It's here, it's real, and it's coming out on this date.' We're going to do something similar. We're going to wait [to reveal the game] until we can show off a very meaningful piece of it."

Yeah based on the quote it seems like he's talking generally about the gaming industry. Don't think you can take this one as any definitive statement one way or the other. I wouldn't be surprised with some online component as Netrunning is such a big part of the world and I think could naturally flow into some sort of multiplayer. However, all we really have is a bunch of speculation based on some ambiguous statements and job listings. We'll find out what it's gonna be in advance of release ... for now we just have to speculate, wait and try not to get to antsy, hyped or locked into some specific vision in the process.

Fishing is fun. Relaxing. Sitting on the pier with a bottle of good scotch and no sound in the world other than wind and the water. That's nice.

Old comments are all under the first reply. I only seem to be able to access one page of them, though.

We're trying to see if we can fix it, but I suspect not.
