On PC/Epic Store version is there still a 5.1 Surround Sound issue?

+
So I'm playing on PC.

In Windows I have 5.1 Selected when I visit more sound options and right click on my Logitech Z906 surround system.

Do the speaker test and each ping works totally fine for the respective speaker.

Load up Cyberpunk 2077 and open my save which is a intro of Panam to her group asking for help.

ZERO surround audio of the dialog or world.

Front 3 channels work fine.

Close Cyberpunk and open Starfield and immedietly without changing anything rear speakers are working, dialog comes from behind if I turn around etc.

Just curious what I'm missing?

In CP I have made sure disable spatial audio is turned off and my sound option is set to Home Theatre.

Problem is likely:

0.) Mods. If you're using mods or have used them in the past, then it could be affecting older saved games. Even if those mods are removed. Also, it doesn't need to be a mod that specifically alters sound in any way. This would also include anything like configuration files that were manually tweaked, set to "Read only", etc.

...or one of three other places:

1.) In-game settings not configured properly. Not uncommon for things to get auto-reset after an update, verify/repair, reinstallation, etc.

2.) The sound system is being hooked by something between the game and the OS. Steam Overlay features, 3rd-party software, streaming/video capture software, etc.

3.) Anti-virus software or such hooking the sound system and interfering. Not uncommon for aggressive ones like McAffee, Norton, Commodo, etc.

EDIT:
Oh -- also -- be sure that your sample rate is set to 16-bit 48000 Hz (DVD Quality). Anything higher, and its possible for the range to be outside what will be clearly audible. Super lows/highs, static, popping, unexpected cuts, etc.
