Damn i'm angry and frustrated with this piece of s***! It's unplayable ugly piece of s*** on PS4 Pro! I couldn't even get refund from PS store! Damn I'm stupid when I paid 69 euros for such blurry, muddy, buggy and messy crap! 69 euros is big money for me and i trusted CDPR but not anymore! These problems has nothing to do with regions, TV settings or where did ur playstation manufactured or anything like that! CD Projekt Red just cheated us last gen console players with this shit! Playstation 2 games look graphically more advanced and better than this!

I want my money BACK!

Ok, it's the first time in my gaming career (more than 25 years) that I feel that I need to write something. Cyberpunk's graphics in PS4 are a complete joke and the "gameplay trailers" should be reviewed and questioned. I mean it's fine, I don't expect Crysis with 2020 graphics, but neither graphics coming out of 2010 for a 69 eur game. It is simply a disgrace. Everything that is more than 2 meters away from the character is a blurry vision , and it's not the time it takes to render. Even if you wait they remain like that. Only if you approach very closely they start rendering. Was that an elaborate prank towards console users?

I attach couple of screenshots to understand.

Blurry vending (?) machines. These are not even rendering from up close:
Cyberpunk 2077_20201210215616.jpg

Look at the elevator buttons fully pixelated. It renders only when you approach.
Cyberpunk 2077_20201210221920.jpg

That blue thing in the middle is supposed to be a huge neon arrow.
Cyberpunk 2077_20201210221954.jpg

A joke 3d model of a metal (?) dragon and a bottle, this one is the "fully" rendered one.

Cyberpunk 2077_20201210222242.jpg

See these two. Same area: If you are a bit further away the neon sign doesn't render almost at all, even if you wait for 3 hours. You need to come as close as the second image for it to render. So actually you have zero understanding of items more than 2 meters away from you.
Cyberpunk 2077_20201210222428.jpgCyberpunk 2077_20201210222435.jpg

Look at the buildings, both the grey further one and the one with the glass. I can make better 3d drawings and I don't know how to draw.
Cyberpunk 2077_20201210223417.jpg

Not to mention zero reflection in mirrors (unless you interact with them).

I am literally speechless

Exactly. I played the game on ps4 and the visuals are unbearable, just like on this guy's screenshots. Also there are crashes every 10-20 minutes, weird bugs like you enter a certain room (tested it 3 times) and you get a blue screen cuz the game crashed. Does anyone know when will the 1.3 patch come out? Until that the game is unplayable. Going back to Yakuza Kiwami which is a ps2 game ported to ps4 that looks 1000 times better

Yeah I didn't even want to mention the bugs. I can live with them, I did with a lot of games in the past. In approximately 3 hours I had the T-standing character , a floating car, a blue-screen, button to change camera while driving not working immediately and some opening a menu (e.g. inventory) but it would open a different one.

But the graphics are ridiculous especially since they provided a gameplay trailer for PS4 complete different. I am pretty sure some people who have time and money to spend might sue them, and it won't be a surprise.

I'm on base PS4, and I though of buying a PS4 Pro for just a little better graphical fidelity and performance, but I can't rationally justify buying a soon-to-be obsolete console for one game. I'm really enjoying CP2077, but it's a rough go. I'm taking it slow as to hold out for some sort of fix, or until buying a PS5 is an available option again.

I am really angry with project red , 70 Euros for this ...... the first time in my life that i can't play a game at the day one for problem like this .
I am really not exagerating , crash every 20 minutes , really low fps and a general graphic of a ps2 game .....
I really don't know what to do , i wait a new patch or i get the Money back from Amazon ? Sorry for the english

Firstly I would like to thank you for you hard work, and I completely understand that the times are difficult.

I'm running the game on the first gen PS4 and the TV is a 47inch SONY BRAVIA LED LCD.
The console and TV are communicating perfectly, with every game it goes into game mode, with every movie into cinema, and so forth.

With every other triple-A title that has come out this year and the previous ones, I have not come across these kinds of issues and the feeling of that the console is lacking performance power.

The game is blurry and foggy, I'm like in mist constantly.
It's hard to keep playing for long periods of time, it feels like I have a migraine after an hour of playtime.

Yesterday the game crashed like 6 times in 2 hours on cutscenes, mid combat, driving, trying to enter the car.
The game crashed different spots in the game at completely random and never at the same spot twice.

When playing the game I feel like the PS4 is struggling with lacking performance.
The framerate is super low, also it feels like there is some kind on latency issue.

The game/console is struggling to process the most generic of activities in the game for e.g: entering any vehicle, talking to vendors, opening the menu, map, shops, etc.

When exiting the vehicle it sometimes stays in the "zoomed camera angle", it stays like this for 30-60s. In this timeframe the character's movements are lagging heavily.

It feels like the old gen PS4 was a complete after thought. Will have to wait for PS5 to be readily available to completely enjoy the experience.

Hope you are able to provide any solutions for these issues in the near future.

Here are just some pictures of how the game looks like on a normal ps4. Turned the graphics settings on and off, nothing changed. The resolution of my console and the monitor I'm using are the same, never experienced anything like this before even though I own 45+ games and played all of them. Knowing CD Project the content of the game is amazing just please patch these things up ASAP cuz this is a half done game so far, like I'm watching alpha footage

I'm playing on PS4 FAT and I just wanted to tell that I don't really care about bugs, I mean I have few hundred hours on Bethesda games so that speaks for itself. I also don't really care about framerate because I'm used to playing on really crappy laptop. But what I can't stand is the resolution. I don't remember when was the last time I played a game with this low resolution. It really really bothers it's really annoying on 50inch TV. Especially hair look really weird but the rest is pretty much also terrible. What's strange to me are the reflections imo they look really cool and it's weird when I look on some reflection that is made by shitty looking lamp. I really hope future patches will make it look somewhat better. Just please raise the resolution so it's at least 1080p. That's all I need to play.

I am waiting tomorrow my PS5 to arrive and will test it there, but as I read on other topics I have no expectations (other than at least not having 10 fps in open spaces...) . I believe they should offer refund for PS/XBox users as the advertisement was really far off from the reality - talking about gameplay trailers, not cinematic of course.

I don't believe these are console version specific issues, just that some people are more tolerant of poor resolutions and some less.

My issue is that the game seems to be running at a very low resolution (DigitalFoundry estimates approx 720p) and the frame rate is appalling. This is nothing to do with TV settings or specific consoles - it's just a poorly optimised engine. I would bet my life that nobody that actually worked on this game is surprised by any of these reports.

But for reference I'm in the UK, I have a 'fat' PS4 model CUH-12 andI can't take decent enough screenshots but my graphics look just like the ones linked all through this thread.
I literally work with Graphics/Projections/Lighting as a job, I also have the kind of eye/brain connection that sharp that my brain spots dead pixels on LED walls from halfway across the stadium and literal single dead pixels on a 4K monitor ( and have issues using anything sub 1080P these days ) and also a literal 0.1 degree error in my glasses rX is enough to cause the vision to mess up in the axis involved.

If there were any issues ( hint : I've already logged one about UI placement clipping offscreen even with safe area dropped to minimum in the PS4 settings ) occuring for me I would be one of the last to tolerate them, trust me on this.

This is why the model/region etc that myself and also the mods keep asking for is important...

Because if it was purely engine problems **everyone** would be having issues.

Current Issues so far?

UI clipping

Not had so far?

Heist fail, any blurring, crashes, stutters beyond expected on area transit since I play off an external 4TB, audio stutter, blocking/artefacting, voice fails, or any other the other issues other folk are saying about

for reference : UK, Gen 1 1TB with original System HDD and 4TB external, 1.02 and most recent Sys version. Film Grain and Depth disabled because I never use them in any games since they are known resource hogs and also annoy me.

I'm not arguing some folk may have issues, I'm simply stating that it's not everyone like some people are trying to claim and it's also not global like the various articles seem to be claiming.

I'm also saying that if people want a quicker response then tech need more details so they can see if it's a regional or specific chipset/GPUset issue and adjust accordingly.

Hi Guys

Has there been any response from CDPR on these issues? It's a Joke, the game crashes randomly, textures are all wacked , there is this horrible grey grainy texture overlay in the game, I've tried bearing it but I cannot anymore it horrific!

Soooooo Disappointed! I would rather load the Witcher3 again and finish that for the 4th time!

:(

I'll fire some up later once I'm having a break from playing on my day off sinc eI'll need to transfer them off the PS4 anyway.

The only time I see serious pixellation is when I go close to the movie posters, and that's most likely to be the fact that they're going to be lower res trash assets in the most case so won't be able to scale to astupid degree.

It's one of the few things I don't expect any version of the game to be rendering well up close because they're literally just there as texture items/decals.

To make matters worse the game has just crashed 3 times consecutively during the same conversation. I was still enjoying the game despite the low graphics and frame rate on PS4, but now I can't even proceed with the game. This is really disappointing.

The PS4 version is really bad. I do not mind some bugs, floating weapons etc. This game is huge and I understand that it takes time to fix such things. BUT.... It looks terrible. This is just unacceptable. I do not expect some ultra graphics, but you just cant release such blurry game. It seems like V need some -5 Dioptrie perk upgrade later in the game. I have 65 inch TV, but I cant recognize anything in the background. Everything is blurry and laggy. I have serious headache after playing for 2 hours. Never experienced something like this. My eyes literally hurt from the unsharp textures.

YOu were feeding us with some fake trailers and gameplays on the current console. This is like if a car maker would take a car to the crash test, it will be totally safe car at the first look and receives 5 stars, but the they will produce som bad car without basic safety things.

The "what did you expect from a PS4/last gen console?" argument would only work if games like Detroit: Become Human didn't exist. Heck, you can load up The Witcher 3 and even that has objectively superior graphics to this game.

I'm almost suspicious that the PS4/XBone versions of the game were deliberately made to look worse than they needed to be, just to convince more people to upgrade to PS5, lol.
