I've played a lot of RP games in my life and now that I am not that young, it's hard to get excited with any of them .. but this one was the best game I've ever played in this genre.. It's the combination of stroy, very emotional indeed, the characters with their personalities and technology in graphics, first time I felt that the characters were real.. ,creatures and terrain with extraordinary design, everything.

I could write for hours but I would like to tell you that the budget doesn't always count, what counts most is the passion of the people who worked for this EPIC game. Congratulations, Witcher 3 worths every penny!

Now I've finished the game, I feel a bit sad because I don't know if there will be something like this again.. maybe you should reconsider and continue the good work after the expansions! ;-)

Thanks CDPR!

Hm, hm, not like I am trying to annoy you with this, just wondering - what sales would make you so happy that you'd gladly port TW1-2 onto Xbox One and ps4, even if it would bring virtually no profits? :)

In spite of a somewhat rocky launch, and a few bugs that still need to be worked out, the game is quite spectacular, and truly remarkable in its vision and the realisation thereof! 4,000,000 is an impressive statistic for initial sales, but, at the same time, such a number carries with it a rather daunting burden of expectation of responsibility. However, provided CD Projekt RED continues to confront these expectations with the same passion and care, which has so endeared them to their players, I've little doubt they shall likewise continue to prosper, and succeed in all their ventures yet to come.

<...>I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the four million gamers worldwide who bought The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the first two weeks from launch. Four million RPG fans spending their hard-earned money on our game is a sign that we did something right, and you can be sure that we’ll harness all that positive energy and make the upcoming expansions worthy of the grand adventure that you’re telling us Wild Hunt already is! Until then, keep on enjoying Wild Hunt, do not forget to grab your weekly set of free DLCs, and stay tuned for constant updates and enhancement to the game we are continuously working on<...>

I second that. Of course congrats for your release, but it's too early to celebrate for many Linux users who are still left out. There was still no official announcement about your plans for the Linux version. Do you still plan it? Or may be you scraped the whole effort? Add-ons and expansions have little meaning if we can't play the game at all yet. Please clarify your plans. I don't mind waiting, as long as I know that you are doing something.

Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou!

Thankyou for bringing a new masterpiece to my life, it's a beautifull interactive painting and story!

It's been a very long time I got so sucked up in any game/movie/book/story, you guys gave me back that feeling I had when there were still good RPGs(Baldurs Gate) or when we still had innovative studios around(Bullfrog for example).

All untill the big publishers game along, all the big studios dissapeared the ones I hold so dearly to my hearth for the gaming experiences they created.

Westwood, Bullfrog and many more!

I feel the same LOVE for games with you guys, I truly do... if you ever manage to read this post... pat yourself on the shoulders, for us gamers.. you finnaly broke the tyranny that is mass publishing, and the franchises (both EA / Ubisoft) bring out.

But they lack tact, sense and true love for the game. You guys, you poured hearth and soul in it...I feel it in every aspect of the game!

Please don't fare the way Bullfrog/Westwood any many more studios have gone, we need creativity and AAA titles. Although I enjoy indie games very much purely for the quality some of them bring.

I've missed the big AAA titltes that were both GOOD and worth their money!

a fresh breath of air through all the american comercialised mass production garbage games that are produced!

I rather wait 3-5 years on an amazing game, then a call of duty each year! The feeling that I have to upgrade my pc for a game I am actually excited for has long been gone from me, you guys brought it back.

As a 26 year old gamer, I cannot be thankfull enough! No rush work, a few minor bugs(as expected with a game this massive)... just pure class, love and love!

I'm glad Europe is bringing out more and more games, please stay independent... for the love of the true gamer(not the 16 year old screaming cod player)

I and many others beg you, keep making quality games!

Thanks to everyone at CDPR for making the best game ever made (well it's definitely up there amongst the best) and I look forward to the next installment, expansions and future mods. This is only the beginning, and there's a whole lotta world out there to build upon.

Bless you all

No, thanks. I'm not using Windows for various reasons, and I'm not going to install it for this purpose. This thread is not suitable for expanding on this however, we can discuss it here if you want.

To all the men and women at CD Projekt Red, Congratulations and Thank You!!!!!.

I'm completely blown away by the Witcher 3, its really exiting to see a game come along that pushes the quality of genera and sets the bar that much higher. I just keep getting surprised every time I jump back into this game.

Best of luck with all your future projects

We, the gamers, want to thank you guys over at CDPR for spending time and money to bring us this great feeling in a fantastic world. After years of misstreatment from publishers, goverments and even educated people it is some kind of break through how you are going to trust us. You didn't implemented a DRM-System, lazy bugs or other chicanes. So you left the choice how much worth your work is (or even not - but IT IS!). That's a new level of trust. And thats an effort i can't thank you all enough.

I really hope you keep up with things, enjoy the upcoming holiday seasons and get back with a great new setting in a few years (Cyberpunk 2077 :D )

THANK YOU CDPR!

To me personally, Skyrim was the epitome for epic open world RPG in 2011 and now new champion is born in 2015, May 19th and that's TW3. Kudos to CDPR for creating this wonderful game. This game shall be the new benchmark for open world RPGs to come!!

I sincerely hope CDPR could maintain the consistency on TW3 and future games and don't be greedy as greediness could make one fall to the point of no return...

Anyone know whether the 4,000,000 includes the 1,500,000 preorders? Or are those on top of the "first two weeks" sales?

From the phrasing it sounds like 4 million bought it after launch. So it would make it more than 5.5 million total.

I don't think so, they must've counted the pre-orders as well. Just 4 million copies in the first two weeks sounds better than 2.5 million.

Then it's definitely not 2 weeks. Whether it sounds better or not, it's not correct.

Congratulations, and thank you for making a game which (hopefully) will change the gaming industry for the better. You guys have shown that when talent, commitment, passion and artistic vision take precedence during game development over petty monetary aspects, a masterpiece can be made. You have shown the world it can be done. Keep true to your vision and see you on the Path!
