HI-I think The Witcher is great and I just hope that they keep making them as good, I would love to see a Witcher 2, Witcher 3, etc.I have played through three times and each time I find things i have not found before, so loving it even more. One thing I am not fond of, in the free little game, I do not want to spend all that time killing Kikimores, it is Geralt that is the story, I spent an hour and a half in the first pit, had two more to go and have stopped playing it, just too long.Keep up the good work of The Witcher and I am a true Witcher Fan and Love your GameMaggie ;D

As I learned from the final part of Act III with the Kikimore queen and her offpspring I listened carefully to what Lambert said when he entered with Geralt the pit... don't care about the offspring, make your way to the kikimore brood and destroy it before they crowd the two witchers ;)

Kill the cocoons on the wall -- that's where all the kikimores are hatching from. If you wipe out all of the cocoons, it goes very quickly!

Actually this is the best RPG ever. Im saying not as crazy fan, but as guy who played many games:))) First of all i like Sapkowski very much. He is one of the best authours for me. Second i liked graphics, motions, fightings, and idea of the game. It really takes you into the cruel world. But also as for me there some minuses, that can a little bit make the impressions worse. First of all i want to say about equipment. almost 5 acts we are wearing the same clothes.. it becomes boring sometime, than in 5th act we gain a cool clothes, but only nearly for 2 hours. I was really dissapoint by this. I liked my clothing but i couldn't taste it enough. The same is with swords, im talking about Mahakam's sword and that great silver sword(sorry i dont know how it's called in English) we gain them nearly in the end of the game. And variety of equipment is poor. But i liked the game very much. And im happy just because there guys from CDprojekt :) TNX TO YOU!! And guy pls add sword sheaths into the game.. I saw them in previous pre-release versions of the game, and it looks more realistic with them:) tnx for your hard work. Waiting for Enhanced Edition!! And sorry for my English..

:) IMHO, I would say The Witcher stacks right up there with the likes of TES IV: Oblivion, with only a few minuses. Would have liked to see more cash available in the game, respawning cash & items. Only vendors' ingredients respawn at present.Graphics - CD Projekt Red really outdid themselves on this one. Impressive application of nVidia GPU commands. The opening cinematic is outstanding. The developers of that cinematic should have been given the award it was nominated for.Speaking of graphics, for everyone here that uses nVidia, there's a new driver out - 175.16. 32-bit XP users can download at:http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_175.16_whql.htmlDoes anyone know why there hasn't been a Witcher Newsletter since March?

jrcooper I was wondering about lack of newsletter, and I have to say while I prefer the Witcher, the Two Worlds newsletter has come regularly every month (or more!) with really good graphics/screenshots and information (it's a pdf file). This means I know a lot more about the Two Worlds free expansion than I do about the Witcher one.

Witcher is really great game, but I don't enjoy disability to move freely, like you have in Gothic (it feels great to just run and jump around like crazy :)). Anyway Witcher is coooooooooooooooooooooool :)

How many of you folks here played Oblivion before you played this game? If you wanna compare ultimate RPGs my suggestion then is for you to go out and get a copy of Oblivion, and if you can afford it purchase the edition which comes with all of the add ons as well, sit yourself down and have at it. Then after twenty hours of play or so . . . (it is a drop in the bucket play time wise for this game) see what you think about the two and you will find your self hard pressed to see which one has A) the better story line, B) better graphics , C) playability - Oblivion is vary open ended and D) over all bang for your buck. Another one to consider which is more apples to apples is Guild Wars, now this is one game which is some might argue in a league of its own, but I think it too has more going for it on top f which its all FREE!Well these are just a few of my opinions about some of the RPGs which are out there, and before you think I don't have a life . . . Let me tell you something . . . I have grand children, I have a wife and I am retired . . . sooooo Let the party begin! LOL!

CND_LION_HEARTED - Only with about 50 mods does Oblivion compare with the Witcher. But I would recommend it as long as you have a PC that can run Oblivion, as even now, it need a high spec PC. I would also recommend alongside Oblivion the Gothic series. lastly, a relatively unknown fantasy RPG title is Arx Fatalis would be another PC game I would compare to all the RPG's released in the last 5 years. If you don't mind VGA graphics and MIDI sound I can also highly recommend a 15 year old RPG from Microprose called Darklands. Set in 15th century Germany, this title also has alchemy rather than spells, and is the only RPG based around a sort of reality. In the game it assumes everything 15th century Germans believed was true IS true, so they believed in witches coverns, there a witches coverns, they believed in Saints, so you can prey to Saints, etc, etc. But, the Witcher, in my mind, compares with all the titles I mention above, and that is a very very high compliment from me! :)
