i just got this game on friday. i was interested in the game before its release back in october but there were too many other good games coming out then (the orange box, gears of war, crysis. UT3) so i left it. i saw the limited edition in the january sale on friday for just £30 (usually £40, and the standard edition was even £25) and it was an offer i didnt want to pass up so i bought it. im glad i did.although the cameras were slightly confusing at first compared to other RPGs, ive kinda got used to the OST view. the controls for the different battle modes, weapons and inventory windows are easy to remember and easy to access on the keyboard. the combat is more engaging that most RPGs aswell, you dont just click the enemy and then wait while your character beats it to death a turn at a time, but you have to click and time your blows all the time during the battle. the story and characters are interesting, the quests are fun and plenty and the environments are easy to navigate and get used to.my one problem is the loading times. although they are slightly quicker on lower graphics settings they can get a bit annoying. its not so much the loading that takes time but the saving at the same time. is there an option to disable the saving after the loading of a new area?this game is really interesting and is so far one of the most engaging RPGs ive played for a while. the limited edition has added a new dimension to my appreciation of the game. the artbook itself manages to raise my interest in it by showing the concept images for locations, characters, weapons and much more. it allows a whole new appreciation of the game and what the developers did to create it. if only more games had limited/collectors editions with artbooks of this quality, just a shame it wasnt a hardback.
