I'm sorry to hear that you lost your job but glad you found another one.

I am still currently working on Chapter 3.
I have 15 pages left to go.

I'll be starting work on it this weekend.

Hopefully I can have some more updates for you soon.

Thanks for all you've done for us.

Hi guys. I am new to these forums, but please allow me to express my sincere gratitude to the talented translators for all their hard work on this project. After recently playing through both Witcher games, I knew I just had to read all the books to get the full experience. Needless to say I was disappointed to discover that only two of the books were available in English. However, after stumbling upon this thread, my disappointment turned to elation. Thank you all so much. I downloaded all of them instantly and read through them all within the space of a week. The translations are incredible. While reading I forgot completely that they were unofficial translations. The quality is top drawer. In fact they are so good that I feel almost guilty for being able to read and enjoy them free of charge! (Almost ;))Thanks again everyone, and I eagerly await Lady of the Lake. But no rush :).

Hi,

Pretty much in the same boat here - just haven't had the time lately. Been working 55-65 hour weeks the last 5 or 6 weeks. Good for my paycheck, but as much as I want to finish the series, I've just been too tired to work on it during my rare free time.

I think the rest of August and most of September are going to be just as busy, unfortunately.

If anyone else ends up being able to, they can take over chapter 5. But if not, I haven't given up on it, and will get back to translating as soon as things slow down a bit.

Thanks,
Brian

Do you guys use any software to translate, or are you just doing manual translations? Just curious )

Unfortunately, my own foreign language skills are lacking, but surely there must be other Witcher fans we can enlist!

No worries and no hurry . I know full well what it`s like working those kind of hours and schedules and it`s no picnic . Plus you`re still a newlywed so you need to spend time as a family . We will be here and waiting when you have the time .

I've only got 2 pages left of Chapter 3.
I'd be more than happy to do chapter 5 next.

Quite so. But of course, if other good translators are up to the task (asheral82) - the more, the merrier!

I LOVE YOU! Really amazing work you've done on translating the books, especially considering that one of you has recently married and the other has lost his job. Keep up the good work, and take the time you need to. We'll still be here waiting for you and praising you when you come back!

Thank you all for being so supportive.

I don't think I would have gotten this far into the series without everyones encouragement.

A quick update: I'm about halfway through Chapter 5, I should hopefully have it done by the end of next week.

I would also like to thank everyone in this thread for what they have done. I held off playing the Witcher 2 until recently when I noticed the game at a lower price on amazon, needless to say as soon as the game loaded up I was completely addicted for the next few days. After completing the game a few times, I decided to look more at the story of the first game online, that's when I noticed that both games were based on novels, fast forward a little bit and here I am on this thread. I'm Currently knee dip in the 'Baptism of Fire' which wouldn't be possible if not for those who have translated these books, so thank you again.
