Sounds like the official translation of Baptism of Fire is released now. Could you please take down the links to our translation?
Thanks!

Time of Contempt and Baptism of Fire fan translations have been removed because official translation came out, but you can find Something Ends, Something Begins, the 6th and the 7h in the first post.
About the fan translation of Storms Season.... well it doesn't exsist. :p

I think this is the last thing we heard about a possible fan translation of Season of Storms:

I'm interested in attempting a full translation, but I can probably start only during the summer break, unless I can tie the project in with my studies, which is conceivably possible.

I would like to say thanks to the whole translators 'thank you' for the translations and for the upcoming translation of Storm Season. I understand that the Author stated that the games aren't canon (as he didn't write it), but does Storm Season flow well with the games?

It doesn't really bear a close relation to the games. In chronology, it's between the short stories and the novels.

This idea is likely said many times before, but why don't CDPR create their own canon to the Witcher. I say this as Andrzej Sapkowski will never see the games as canon, and I think that CDPR can fill in the event that occur before The Witcher 1 via comic books (which most takes place before the first game), mid-tier Witcher games (as seen in the adventure mode from The Witcher 1, and possibly the upcoming mobile game), DLC type expansion packs for The Witcher 3. So that leaves novel to be written only by Andrzej Sapkowski.

So is it possible for the community and CDPR to accept two separate Witcher canon?

I am not sure what do you mean?
Can CDPR possibly make a better canon, then the Ace himself??
While not caring all that much about what is "the real canon", I'd look very sceptical, maybe even hostile, at any CDPR's attempts to actively negate the events from books.

I would never say anything bad about the ace himself. What I'm trying to say is CDPR should have their own canon for the Witcher. This won't negate the books, but it would create two offical timelines based on the Witcher one continued by CDPR and the other by Andrzej Sapkowski.

I don't think it was ever the developers' intent to create a secondary canon, and I think it would be unfair to characterize their work as other than a tribute to Sapkowski's saga.

In relation to Sapkowski's work, the games have remained within the bounds of dramatic license and the need to adapt a continuing story to a different medium. That is not characteristic of a new canon, and I don't think calling it a "canon" honors the meaning of the word "canon", the original work of Sapkowski, or the efforts the developers have made to remain faithful to that original work.

Is it possible to edit these documents? I come across grammar mistakes during the read, and while they're never something significant that doesn't allow you to understand the event in general, I still feel that the translations could be improved, in good spirit :) I wouldn't mind doing it as I read through them. Well, "it", seeing as I'm on the last book.

I'm actually working on editing the novels. I made notes of just about every mistake (fixing the quotation mark problems, too) I saw while reading. It'll be a slow process, but I plan on having all books done way before the third game comes out.

If you want help with Lady of the Lake, I'd be happy to improve it.
