Outdoor Buzzing Sound

Is there anyway to disable the outdoor insect noises (cicadas?) or whatever they are? It's a constant low buzzing. The sound is gone at night and does not occur indoors. I love the rest of the ambiance, but it'd be best if the cicadas were silent.
