Outrageous bug not letting me play the game!

Ok at the end of the quest (THE ETERNAL BATTLE) (or what I am assuming is the end of the quest, since this glitch is not letting me play it,) after i beat the draus boss and lead the undead soldiers through the "abyss" I am greeted with a sorceress talking to the fat guy who wants to "claim his birthright" (i forget his name)

After that a loading screen comes up and then crashes. There we go. I cannot continue playing the game...I'm fucking outraged.

I tried

- validating my game cache
- checking for viruses
- lowering the graphics settings all the way down
- updating my drivers

all to no avail. What the fuck cdprojekt red? Are you really that lazy?

There's nothing extraordinary about that scene. My first guess would be that you got there from a corrupt save. Can you replay from a previous save?

Since yours is the first report of this problem that has been seen on these forums, I would not be quick to assert that the game is in any way defective.

(The 3GB switch only matters if you have a 32-bit operating system. If you do, it is worth trying. There are different settings required for XP vs. Vista/W7. Or are you running Windows 8?)

Try uploading your save somewhere and post the link here . To see if the save is corrupt . If it is the same thing should happen with the ones who try it .

Could also be something with the Steam version in which case you can try the GOG version .
http://www.gog.com/en/witcher2/backup/ . But i would wait and see if it`s the save or something else .
