Overexposed rendering result

Hi cdpr,

I ran into this rendering issue at the very beginning of the game. Please take a look at the following images,

As you can see the rendering is completely ruined by overexposure. The issue stays as the game goes on. I can hardly see anything but a "almost white" screen or go on with the game. Looks like there is something wrong with the HDR exposure control?

Everything is fine on other screens such as the main menu. I also tried my other games but the same thing never happened.

I have searched on the Internet for a solution but with no luck. Is it only me suffering this very issue??

I have been waiting for the Witcher 3 for a long long time. But this issue keeps me from enjoying the game, hopefully I can have a solution asap.

OK. I have tried on different TV and even monitors, the same thing happens.

Please don't tell me it's my PS4's problem cause it is totally fine with my other games.

I guess nobody is giving a sxxt? So I just spent my 50 dollar for nothing but a white screen?

I've seen it bad too although not as bad as with you (although it is very hard to say anything about pretty vage camera shots).

I've seen cutscenes where it was noon and the sun and light mostly obliterated anything on screen and I couldn't even see the face expression on the characters.. Very weird.

I can't even go on with it...It is the very beginning of the game, what happens next is talking with Ciri about her training. I can see NOTHING! Nothing but the overexposed white screen, well, and a few eye balls floating..XD

I feel sorry for what you have seen. But it is comforting that I am not the only one seeing this weird thing, so CDPR would not say "it's just one case, the guy has paid anyway"

Just a question, but did you set your gamma up at the beginning of the game, or have you tried to adjust it? I only ask because that's the only thing I can think of that would cause wash out that badly.

Yes, I did. The first thing I did was to adjust the gamma when I first met this problem. No matter how I adjust it, the problem remains.

Hey there, I just stumbled upon your post. Were you able to solve your problem? Have you tried out different settings for your PS4 video output? Or are you able to try out remote play using a Vita or a modern android phone? Feel bad for you, but maybe you've already been able to solve it.

Thanks!

The problem is not solved yet. Yes I did try different video out put settings, color range, resolution, etc.. I even RESET(initialize) my PS4, giving up all my other game records for this. The problem is still there.

I have to say, I have been playing video game for decades, starting from nintendo FC, this is the worst experience I've ever had. I never feel so desperate

Mhh... What else could you attribute it to? The game itself might be faulty? Have you tried hooking up another TV? Or, like I mentioned, tried out remote play? That way you'd know whether it's your TV or not.

Another source that I could think of is the HDMI port of your monitor, tried using another one yet? Or another cable altogether? Man, so many things to try out.

Have you purchased the game digitally? If so, I'd imagine that there just might be something wrong with the files...?

All the best

Try to completely unistall the game, "defrag" your PS4 HD, and install and update the game again. Could be some file of the game with problems

My friend.. actually I have tried pc monitor, same result. I also tried different HDMI cables, different TV ports. None of these attempts is giving me the right thing....

I purchased the bluray. I really can't think of any more reasons that could cause this problem...

Thanks for the suggestion.. But like I said b4, I have tried RESET(initialize) my PS4 for it...and still no good...

Holy shit.

Well, do you have any friends with this game? Can you borrow it to test?

No...Most of my friends didn't purchase this game....They made the right choice, to wait for Batmxn...

---------- Updated at 05:37 PM ----------

Just installed 1.05. Nothing's changed, as expected.

Anyway, I am now having fun with Batmxn now and putting witcher 3 on hold...

I couldn't make any progress whatsoever
