Like having their car sabotaged so they have to use the bus, and then arranging for them to be thrown under the bus, whatever that entails.

And I mean cars and bus in the figurative sense too.

Now I like where this is going. 'Creative' homocide.

I am, of course, totally onboard with Flash's plans for indirect violence. i know he plans to play a Corp, ( fucker. We'll get you and your kind), and think what he suggests is a great option. The charge of having your scheme and manipulated minions execute your whim is substantial.

He's not talking about non-violence, just hands-off.

This is why I picked the thread title i did, because a) I am evil and b) it would force people to treat the stealth/dialogue only playthroughs as something soft and cuddly. Disgusting. Or they would have to be clear on how hands-off violence is just as or more effective.

I do actually hope CDPR implements a serious social game mechanic for Corps, Rockers, Fixers and Cops. That would be a lot of fun.

I so hope there's a drop-in co-op option. Let's just say I'll give you quite a welcome in my world, being the kind, gentle soul that I am =)

Gentle like a Peterbilt 2000 at 90 mph?

Lol, I like more subtle things, but that's the idea. The player should get to be the peterbilt 2000 without directly getting involved in some scenarios.

Goddamn. Again? DEAR FORUM FIXERS PLEASE ADD INBOX SIZE BY FACTOR OF TEN. Thank you.

I -could- put that in the suggestions/forum fixes thread, but I'm too busy cleaning out my mail. Again!

Yes, as mentioned you could use non leathal takedowns and when there must be killing you could use hired help from npc or even better a pc.

But yes to truly fit CP verse I think it should be possible to complete the whole game without having your player character killing a single npc or pc. This makes complete sense considering the skillsets of the classes. Some classes are simply not for violent killing but of coarse Cyberpunk is a extremely violent verse where most player characters will encounter dangerous situations where they have to use their skillset to survive whether it be from having your npc follower/s do the wet work for you or you altogether avoid combat by using stealth or hacking skills.

So... are the runners derailing the thread a little here? maybe i'll nudge it back to money making track :p

Definitely a coercive method of eliminating people or detached method as in getting others to do it for you would be pretty cool, makes sense for a corp that will not be running around the streets dealing with all the crap out there, but it will be a difficult implementation for a video game - p&p can accomodate this easily but for an interactive rpg video game? i'm not so sure.

Non teh less very interesting idea's, will take a fair chunk of coding to allow some of these complex game play option. Lets see where this goes. In the end I'm with Sard on the idea of forcing players into a bad situation were you don't have options it makes the feel of the game more real and visceral. You know your doign someting right when you make players have emotions that they don't necessarily want to have - that's cyberpunk lol.

What about using the environment to kill with?

I'm not talking about exploding barrels. I'm talking about bashing someones head into a wall until their brains look like a picasso. Or using bottles, broken glass, pipes, chairs, bricks and a myriad of other potentially fatal objects..

Oh, one of my favourites:

Man, I hope so.

One of my favourite parts in Deus Ex HR: Knocking t he drug dealer in Heng Sha unconsious, dragging him to the edge of the building and dropping him off. Then dropping a refrigerator on him.

So beautiful.

If you get a mission success for that, it's a bug. It's supposed to look accidental. I'm pretty sure that people who accidentally fall off buildinga don't manage to grab hold of full-size refrigerators and pull them over the parapet too.

Edit: OK, So Neural Cipher has explained how it works. I stand corrected.

Pfff. It was a thing of beauty, Dragon. Don't spoil it. " A bug".

OBVIOUSLY, the refrigerator fell on him from Gravity. It's hardly Adam's fault that Gravity is a Harsh Mistress.

Also mailboxes. Very harsh.

Never played it. Though now I've looked at some of the video's, I really wish I had.

And from this inspiration:
HUMAN SHIELDS! I would love to use dead bodies, or even live ones as a 'Meat Shield'. PLEASE!!!

It was indeed a great/fun game. Using weapons felt both realistic and natural. I hope they will fallow that recipe for CP77 as well.

Man, if you can get your hands on it, you should play it. As far as i remember it was both great and fun. I can also suggest a game called "Freedom Fighters". It had an amazing story. If you didn't play it yet, go buy and play it NOW! I love that game. :D

Yes! This! "Meat Shield"s would be greatly appreciated! Also, lets not forget about interrogation. The Punisher had these funny (but maybe a bit repetitive) interrogation sequences, it would be great to have them on CP77.

Sound slike a good idea to put in the dream ideas thread... i wonder if you could call that passive agressive pacifism? "I was trying to get him out of the way while standing behind him, honest"
