In the comments of the reddit thread I just posted there's talk about some kind of AI thingy used for the lipsyncing of the characters, might have something to with that.Hehe, thanks. But let's be honest, it's that Panam makes those pictures.
Also it's the third person mod for PC. It's kinda useless for normal gameplay, but seems to work well during cutscenes.
Funnily enough, V's head even seems to have working lipsync for some of the dialogues, especially for majority of Panam's quests - which leads me to believe they might have implemented the 2018 third person cutscenes halfway at some point (and Panam's questline was one of the first ones?), before taking them out.

But the weirdest thing that the lipsync seems to kick in only sometimes and not always. Like one moment V looks like a dead mannequin, and then he suddenly starts to emote like a human being.

It is called JALI, software that powers all the different language lip-syncing in the game. Really impressive stuff, and might be one of the best lip-syncing technologies I ever saw in a game.

I rolled a Male V this time around and was very suprised by the depth and quality of the Panam romance. I was always a sucker for good ol' romance fics and absolutely enjoyed watching the relationship unfold between her and V. I still like the Judy friendship, but Panam is the one that will probably stay with me for a while. Just want my V to be happy

Wow you're right, that's really impressive. No wonder the characters look so real.
My guess is the expansion won't be centered completely around Panam regardless of if it's in Arizona or Crystal Palace etc. However she could still play a big role in it even though there's a possibility that you fucked her over or just ignored her for some players. I mean Takemura dies for a lot of people, but if you save him, he has a huge role in the ending mission. So we could still see a lot of her in the expansion(s), but it won't be completely focused or centered around her most likely. Just like how the Arasaka ending isn't completely focused around Takemura being there or not.Today I learned (from YouTube) if you don't do Panam's side quests you get a depressing voice mail at the end of the game. She's basically asking for work so she can pay her rent. There's a special place in hell for anyone who didn't finish her quests and left her like this.
But that got me wondering. How would CDPR account for this in a future expansion? What if someone plays the game, never does Panams (or Judys) questline and ends up siding with Arasaka and returning to Earth. Does that mean Panam/Judy wouldn't be featured in the post-game DLC for these people? And if so.... for the rest of us would that mean that we wouldn't see much of Panam/Judy overall?

What I'm trying to say is, I don't think the expansions story will be about Panam or even the aldecaldo's for that matter. But! if you did do her questline and such, she should show up anyways. Hopefully with a new questline and lot's more interaction. Facts are that the achievement for completing her questline is currently the 9th most common achievement to have in the game (on steam). More people have completed her questline than have beat the game, and she's by far the most popular character in this regard. Also her ending is the most popular one (achievement %'s).
Also in these dialogues where we are doing shots, it is awkward, because V always is looking straight up, even if we looked straight on Panam for example, before switching to photo mode.

Also what would u guys say, if they multiplayer is really coming (I cant care less about a multiplayer for this game tbh) But if it is coming, lets make a real Panamgang and take over nightcity. Everybody involved in this thread? Just to show whos the boss in NC!!!

It would be most tricky/hard part of doing anything after ending. While all endings basicly can be summed up :
V go back to body with 6months
V is still in cyberspace (Mikoshi/Blackwall)
No matter what would be next DLC - for example Space Casino where V can fing cure - it is easy to bring even Aldecaldos back(wit Panam <3) to NC or bring back V to new body with tech magic. It can be easly done without much effort, but to connect all decisions romance/freindship there is also who died, and balance of power on corp lvl this would be hard hitting thing.

Dude, this is just awesome technology, I was really impressed when I saw these videos. The characters in the game are very lively, when talking, all parts of their faces are mobile, they express a wide range of emotions, they can look away, roll their eyes, and so on. And almost everything is done with AI, just wow
Of course they will, they need to. The amount of Panam lovers is huge and they can't ignore that. I believe that they will try to add a lot of new Panam content after fixing some bugs, ... because they will help the game growing more, that will help they make more money and also they will make us happier and when you're creating a game that's the objective, make your players love the game and not the opposite
