Passive health regeneration on Death March?

I just started a second playthrough on Death March and I was kind of surprised when I noticed that Geralt slowly recovers vitality (1/s).... I thought every kind of item-less regeneration would not exist on this difficulty... or is it only the meditation regen that is missing there?

Hmmm...makes you wonder why you can't just meditate to regen health like in the previous games. Not sure how it makes the game more challenging by removing it. Just means you have to spend tedious amounts of time looting places for food and then consuming it. Mechanic that isn't needed and is the only thing holding me back from playing at higher difficulty.

But yea I think on Blood and Broken Bones I occasionally noticed a small vitality increase but I always thought it was tied to one of the general abilities in the skill tree (can't remember the name) that allows you to regen vitality when outside of combat during the day.

I suppose it was easier to drop it to a useless level rather than removing it entirely.

1/s health regeneration would require most players to stand around for up to 2.5 hours to regenerate to full health.

Yeah, after playing for two hours I realize that this slow regeneration doesn't help much... so I guess, it is fine. :)

On DM I use the Wither power that allows to regen health at day but at night it doesn't. It only takes 3 min to be full health(current level 26)

Health regeneration is not that much in DM but in the skill tree which allows you to regen at day, you might find it useful at the beginning but useless in the mid to end game as you will be using potions to heal yourself :)

The 1 tick per second does not help anything on DM. Troll decoction on the other hand... ;)

If you dont like opening the inventory to eat something every battle (cause in the quick slot you have potions and food) just get the sun and stars ability and equip it. You ll regen quite fast between fights during the day, I think its a must in the early stage on DM

Cmon people, don't be lazy. You don't need any skills, it is not hard to open inventory and eat foor, or just put it in slot. And you don't need to farm food to be honnest,
many merchants have it, and considering how easy it is to get gold, you can buy enough food for whole playthrough.
