Patch 1.04 INI

Was this the patch that allowed INI tweaks? Because I have patches set on auto update and when I booted up the computer it said that the game was unable to create an INI location in user settings or something.

Any advice?

It says: "Error creating INI entry in file C:\Users\Me\documents\witcher 3\user settings"


Is it because I did some tweaks to the user settings?


EDIT: Okay, luckily I had a backup up the vanilla user settings. So I replaced the tweaked file, and now after verifying the game on GOG I think the new patch downloaded and everything is normal.


Can I just say how AWESOME GOG is? It has everything so conveniently, patches, change logs, verifying game cache...thank you based anti-drm CDP!

It was only because you had the user settings as read only. Just remember to untick that before updating. You might also want to backup your tweaked ini before updating.

I use an online diff checker, to check differences between them from updating. To easily see what's been added. They added the mip lod bias to the texture options presets. They're setting it to a minus at high and ultra to further sharpen textures..
