Patch 1.04 Problem

Since the patch while the foliage looks amazing the shadows look horrible in many places. Very grainy. In a scene with roache and another person not to be named the back wall looked horrible. It was all dots and lines. The settings are all set to ultra but the orange sky is gone now at times of the day. I do not like this. It's as though shadows are set to low or worse yet i have it on ultra. Every option is maxed. I have an asus 980. 1.04 did this. Any idea how i can fix it? Please help! Thank you!

For all those who are finding the textures a little grainy or off . Set your ingame setting of textures to high or ultra whatever u were using before, then quit the game.

Go to C:\Users\your username\Documents\The Witcher 3 open user.settings with notepad . Find "TextureMipBias" & change its value to -0.4 from -1. You can change the value of setting from -0.5 to 0 according to your prefrence. Save the .ini file & start the game. In game your texture settings will show that your texture are set to low but they will be set to whatever value u set them before editing the user.setting.ini file. U will now notice the extra grainy filter is gone. The game looks like before the patch now. This is what the setting does http://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptRefere...ipMapBias.html

Don't change the texture setting in game after editing the ini file otherwise it will revert back to original settings & u will again have to change the value in the user.setting file.

Hope this helps

Got the same problem... Graphics look a lot worse now than 1.03 ( all on ultra).

I think Cd Projekt should allow us to revert back to 1.03 settings.

They just need to step up and put all these settings in the game options, under advanced settings...

It seems like this latest patch changed my texture detail on Geralt to lower than Ultra. Even when I change it back to Ultra settings and no matter how many times I change it in the settings it won't go to Ultra.

This has to be a bug because when I go talk to a merchant or anyone else that puts the game in to the text menu mode (with a closeup of Geralt), the textures automatically go back to Ultra and stay that way when you tell the person farewell and start playing again. I tried saving the game and reloading the save but that didn't keep the setting. :(

Anyone have this issue?

That fixed it thank you so much! It would be nice if they fixed the graphic settings in a future patch.
