Patch 1.07 Bit of a let down
Getting real tired of all this. I waited for this patch cautiously, it had a massive list of fixes announced. I've gone from being positive to skeptical regarding any claims from this Developer.
Patch down loaded and installed....
Frame rate still seemed Juddery, went to Novigrad to carry on Find Junior, saw the same levitated guard at the same bridge, ignored the fact it was not fixed and completed the part of the quest with the stash. Found out I couldn't speak with Roche.... tried everything to get him to respond. Gave up on this quest once again!!
Decided to change gears and go on a treasure hunt for Witcher Gear. went to the quest markers showing on the Map. Found two chests when I pressed X to see the contents it showed no inventory in the chest. Gave up on that, due to no other option. Looked on Map for next location went to a coastal tower and fought through terrible camera controls and poorly designed level layout. However being a pretty bad-ass witcher at this stage managed to defeat my adversary, who promptly fell through an exterior staircase and wedged into the sheer tower wall well out of Geralt's reach!! Not in the mood to re load the level, I changed gears and decided to pursue a Monster Contract.
Found a contract "New Recruit" only thing here was a bale of loot hovering approx 30' (Game Scale) above the ground, pretty minor really. I did notice that any cut scenes I had been involved in since downloading Patch 1.07 were very choppy(again) in fact some seemed to be poorly edited together. For some reason those with Triss seem especially woeful.
Every time I fast travel my mini map goes temporally black as it tries to update where I have jumped to. But if I'm using your fast travel system should the game not know the correct map. The Map is another issue trying trying to drag your pointer across the map or inventory system is slow and juddery. A lot of the Witchers problems seem to be response or processor related.
Basically what I'm noticing more and more is we seem to be going in circles. So CDPR I ask you as a paying customer that purchased your product. What improvements did you actually deliver on with this patch?
I'm a Witcher fan, I really am, but I'm not a fan how your game breaks immersion, or responds to input. This Patch was a fairly long time in coming, and so far I am not being wowed by anything I am seeing, if anything it seems to me my playing experience has taken a few steps backwards.
