Patch 1.10 Changelog

+
Thank you so much for this upcoming mega-patch!! It looks like I can go back to playing it again without worrying about it crashing on me because of the darn water getting all glitchy!!!

A patch so big, CDProjekt jumped from version 1.08 to 1.10 ! I see they took a page out of Microsoft's Windows 8 to 10 jump, hehe.

My question is will the quest with the incorrect failed objectives automatically fix themselves (show green checked instead of red x) once we update the game or would we have to reload a save before we attempted to do those specific quest?

Inspiring, you make already incredible game even more better, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THAT!...

Hope it will be released tomorrow. Really want to spend the entire weekend playing The Witcher 3 :D.

I thought you were playing SW Battlefront all this weekend.

---------- Updated at 03:30 PM ----------

Around 15gb on consoles (depending on SKU) and between 6-15gb on PC (depending on platform).

WTF ?? the original was 30gb, Its now already in 40Gb, so it will be like the GTAV game after this patch.

So I was expecting this "big" patch to be added dialogue and shit. I wasn't expecting to download a patch the size of a mountain jesus Christ.
Keep up the amazing work CDPR!

"Fixes rare issue whereby selected functionalities remained blocked despite completion of relevant parts of quest titled King's Gambit."

What's this about? Can't quite decipher what exactly was fixed.

That's what happens when a game is released unfinished or with issues imbedded deep in the code. Patching will nearly double the size of the original download. Nice, eh?

Yes they're incredible because they've had to release numerous patches, several of them rather ridiculously enormous, just to fix issues with their core game that was released a scant 4 and a half months ago. Truly inspiring.

As i told everyone before, "Im gonna play this game when v1.1 comes out"... time has come.

And hopefully we won't be needing a patch 1.11 after Hearts of Stone is released.

And let's hope it's not for the same reasons that Microsoft did that jump. Although I'm inclined to believe it is.

Funny thing is, the waiting time for changelog is over...now the waiting time for the release of patch begins ..
There is always something to wait for ... :D

Many thanks for the update. sorry to ask, but the Frenzy skill malfunctioning (for PC version, I'm not sure about the others) isn't noted in change log. has it already been fixed ?

GUI
● Introduces multiple fixes and improvements in HUD.
● Introduces multiple changes in GUI for Alchemy and Crafting.

:)

What about the romance dialouge though ? I stopped playing for that very reason...

From the changelog, it looks like it will be more or less the same as the leak from August, maybe with some minor edits. If you do not mind spoilers, here are all the new dialogues found in patch 1.08 (copied from this post, originally extracted by Sarcen):

"Adds segments to conversations with Triss and Yen before battle at Kaer Morhen."
(after returning from the Isle of Mists with Ciri)
Yennefer: Would you like a moment to yourselves?
Geralt: Sorry, we didn't mean to--
Yennefer: I know. It's a simple question. Do you want some time alone?

Geralt Choice: Go, let's go.
Geralt: No… let's go. They're waiting.
End
Geralt Choice: Only if you really don't mind…
Geralt: Long as you really don't mind…
Geralt: Seemed to take that pretty well.
Triss: Or wants us to think she did.
Geralt: Haven't been here in a while, have you?
Triss: Too long. How's the guest room? Anything changed?
Geralt: Mhm. The bed… it, uh, broke.
Triss: Not a problem. We'll sleep on the floor. Spread out a hide and…
Yennefer: Ahem.
Geralt: Guess we should go.
End

Triss: I-- Maybe I'll give you two a moment.
Yennefer: Triss, please…
Triss: No, no. You must've missed each other terribly, A minute's delay won't hurt anyone.

Geralt Choice: No. We'd better all go now.
Geralt: No, we should get going. They're waiting for us.
End

Geralt Choice: Fine. A minute, then we go.
Geralt: Fine. So a minute, then we go, all right?
Geralt: Hm. This just a little awkward…
Yennefer: Forty-five seconds.
Geralt: Huh?
Yennefer: We've forty-five seconds left. Well, thirty, now. And then we throw the gauntlet at the Wild Hunt. So I beg you, use these seconds well.
Geralt: Yen, I adore you.
Yennefer: Hm. No points for creativity. But for your candor…
Yennefer: Time to go.

"Adds segments to conversation with Ciri in quest titled Payback."
(before the horse theft)
Ciri: Worked out nicely, don't you think?
Geralt: What're you talking about?
Ciri: You and Triss. Never expected it, to be honest.
Geralt: Life's full of surprises.
Ciri: So, how did the two of you--?
Geralt: End up together?
Geralt: Hmm. With Yen it was fight after fight, lots of arguments, drama… Not saying it was bad, but…
Ciri: But what?
Geralt: Got o be exhausting. With Triss, it's not. I finally feel… harmony. A calm. Feel like things are the way they're supposed to be.

Ciri: You know… perhaps it's not my concern, but… I'm glad you and Yennefer have ended up together.
Geralt: Me too.
Ciri: You took your time.
Geralt: Hm. Guess we both needed a while to grapple with it.
Ciri: So what was it like? You know, when the wish lost its hold. What did you feel?
Geralt: Hmm. Well, there we were, the two of us, on the mountain top. I looked at her, and…
Geralt: And felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be. At long last.

"Adds segments to conversation with Triss in quest titled On Thin Ice."
(in the tent in the Nilfgaardian camp, after Avallac'h leaves)
Geralt: Triss? Everything all right?
Triss: Yes. I just wanted a moment to talk to you. Before… before it begins.
Geralt: Chin up. The Hunt's weakened. We've got--
Triss: No. No more about the battle.
Triss: Just hold me. And say something nice.

Geralt Choice: Can't wait till we leave for Kovir.
Geralt: All this snow… it makes me think of Kovir.
Triss: And what do you think about?
Geralt: That it's like this all year there. Dark and cold.
Geralt: And you know what? It won't bother me one bit.
Triss: It won't?
Geralt: No. Because the days, yeah, days might be short, but the nights? Nights'll be long.
Geralt: I can't wait.

Geralt Choice: There's a lighthouse not far from here…
Geralt: Hm. There's a lighthouse not far from here, you know.
Triss: Geralt! Are you suggesting we--?
Geralt: No… well, at least not right now. Just wanted to say…
Geralt: Wanted to say that since… since Novigrad, whenever I see the beam of a lighthouse, I feel good. Thinking of you.

(both choices reconverge here)
Triss: Unbelievable. You said something romantic! You, Geralt of Rivia!
Geralt: Moment of weakness.
Triss: Well, none of those during the battle, please. If anything should happen to you…

Geralt Choice: Don't think about that.
Geralt: Can't think about that.
Triss: So what am I supposed to think about?
Geralt: Emhyr var Emreis. On parade. Completely naked.

Geralt Choice: I'll be fine.
Geralt: I'll manage.
Triss: You always say that.
Geralt: Haven't killed me yet.
Geralt: Well, except for that one time.

(both choices reconverge here)
Triss: Ah, Geralt. You're so charming when you try to be funny.
Geralt: Try? Take it back. That was a great joke.
Triss: Mhm. Sure.
Triss: I love you, you know.
Geralt: You trying to make me cry? Ciri'd never let me forget it. Go on, get.
Geralt: Love you too.

"Adds new romance related segments in conversations with Triss and Yen in quest titled The Sunstone."
(these are default dialogues available on the boat during Battle Preparations, and at least for Triss also during Final Preparations in Dandelion's inn)
Geralt Choice: You know… once it's all over, I'm going to Kovir.
Geralt: Not sure if you've heard, but… once it's all over, I'm going to Kovir.
Ciri: With Triss.
Geralt: Mhm.
Ciri: Interesting part of the world. Perhaps you'll get a contract for some rare snow beast. A barbegazi, or a vendigo… Or a, uh, an amarok.
Geralt: Or maybe I'll finally hang up my swords.
Ciri: It's that good with her?
Geralt: Better.

Geralt Choice: Putrid Grove, when we first saw each other again…
Geralt: So, there you were in Putrid Grove, and out of nowhere I show up. What did you think?
Triss: Honestly? "Oh no, not him again."
Geralt: Figured as much. You weren't easy to find, you know.
Triss: You'd recovered your memory, found Yennefer. So naturally, I thought the two of you'd--
Geralt: But it turned out my amnesia'd changed nothing. Wanted to be with you before, during, after - always.
Triss: I know that now.

Geralt Choice: Yen, wanted to talk about me and Triss…
Geralt: Yen, can we talk?
Yennefer: Why, so you can ask me if we can remain friends, despite all?
Geralt: No, I-- I mean--
Yennefer: Come, now, Geralt. I know you. Well enough to know exactly what's going on with you and Triss.
Yennefer: Now, I cannot say I'm not tempted to, hm, intervene, but… I believe I'll let it lie this time.
Yennefer: How about that? You came here to fumble your way through an explanation, yet instead of enjoying the show, I went and did your job for you.
Geralt: Seems so.
Yennefer: But now, enough of this maudlin business. We've something to do, remember?

Geralt Choice: Need your advice. It's about Yennefer.
Geralt: So… need your advice. About Yennefer.
Ciri: Very well. Ask away.
Geralt: Thing is… I'd like to take her somewhere. Once it's over. Someplace… picturesque, beautiful, even. Where we can rest.
Geralt: You've been almost everywhere. Also know Yen well. Any ideas? I was thinking Spalla, or maybe Dol Blathanna…?
Ciri: The first roadside inn you pass. Take her there. Pay for a month in advance, carve "Do not disturb" into the room door and shut it behind you.
Geralt: Huh. Just like that?
Ciri: Just like that.

Geralt Choice: Holding up all right?
Geralt: You, uh, holding up all right?
Triss: Ugh, it'll be a hard slog for everyone…
Geralt: You know what I mean.
Triss: What'm I supposed to say? I mean, I knew you and Yennefer… that you'd end up back together. It was a lost cause, always.
Geralt: I guess so. I just don't want you to--
Triss: Can we not dwell on it? I need to focus on other things now.
Geralt: Right. Understood.

Geralt Choice: Our encounter with the djinn - feeling any effects?
Geralt: So, feel any different after our encounter with the djinn?
Yennefer: Yes. Now I feel… regret.
Geralt: Mean to say that--?
Yennefer: That I regret we didn't try that earlier. Much earlier.
Geralt: Think we would've argued less?
Yennefer: Quite the opposite. But the other moments would have been more intense as well.
Yennefer: Moments like this.
These are probably at the same place for HoS only:
Geralt Choice: The mark on my face look bad?
Geralt: The mark on my face - is it noticeable? Hard on the eyes?
Ciri: Tsk… a bit. But you can't let it bother you.
Ciri: You know, folk would stare at the scar on my cheek, always. It used to upset me greatly.
Geralt: And?
Ciri: I started undoing one shirt button more. Problem solved.

Geralt Choice: My mark - help me get rid of it?
Geralt: Listen, think you could help me with this mark? It's driving me crazy.
Triss: Tsk… Oh Geralt… What've you gotten yourself into now?
Geralt: Long story. Can you get rid of this thing?
Triss: Afraid not. And I doubt anyone else'll be able to, either. So sorry.
Geralt: Agh… Folk give me strange looks anyway. Guess I oughta be used to it.

Geralt Choice: This mark - help me get rid of it?
Geralt: Listen… this mark - can you do anything about it?
Yennefer: I can scratch it if it itches, but I fear that's all.
Geralt: I'm not joking, Yen.
Yennefer: Neither am I. These symbols… it's ancient, powerful magic. I've no notion how to remove them.
Geralt: Dammit.
Yennefer: You're still one of the prettiest witchers around in my book. Second only to Lambert.

Additionally, a number of new one-liners (to Roach and in combat) have been added for Geralt:
Geralt: All over now.
Geralt: Any last words?
Geralt: Come on!
Geralt: Damn…
Geralt: Easy. Easy!
Geralt: Full speed ahead!
Geralt: Get going!
Geralt: Giddy-up! Haa!
Geralt: Gimme it all!
Geralt: Givin' me no choice.
Geralt: Hey… It's nothing, it's fine.
Geralt: How you like that silver?
Geralt: Let's dance.
Geralt: Nice and slow, now.
Geralt: Not good.
Geralt: Not too late to surrender.
Geralt: Now run! Fast!
Geralt: Pathetic.
Geralt: Rraa! Go on!
Geralt: Show me whatcha got!
Geralt: Show me what you got.
Geralt: Shut up and fight.
Geralt: Slow it down.
Geralt: Stop. Enough.
Geralt: Take a rest, now.
Geralt: That's enough of that.
Geralt: Ugh… that stench.
Geralt: Ugly bastard…
Geralt: Well? How long you gonna make me wait?
Geralt: What? Lost your nerve?
Geralt: What the hell's gotten into you? Slower.
Geralt: Where's the fire? Ease up.
Geralt: Whoaa!
Geralt: Whooaaa, devil's spawn.
Geralt: Whoooaaaa! Slow down!
Geralt: Yaa, yaa! Faster, faster!
Geralt: Yee-haah!
Geralt: You oughta be spooking them. C'mon!

CD PROJEKT RED
Regarding mods in general, the builds of the game we are using internally are unmodded and therefore we cannot predict what the effects of installing patches on a modded game will be. While it won't necessarily happen it is possible that problems will occur due to incompatibility of mods with a new version of the game.

Regarding texture mods created with modding tools and stored in <gamedirectory>\mods they should work fine after 1.10. However, 1.10 will include new scripts and many script mods will therefore become outdated. If a mod will have unupdated scripts then upon launching the game scripts won't compile and the game won't start. A solution will be to remove script mods from the aforementioned \mods directory.

Game looks for mods only in \gamedir\mods\ folder. If you remove or rename the folder with something the game doesn't recognize it'll load as if vanilla.
So you suggest to rename the 'Mods' folder before installing the patch. And after patch is installed rename mods folder back to 'Mods'?
