Please consider te implications of what happened over there

While I agree with you, in the same sense, you have to understand that people doing that do not understand or even know what the implications of this are. Thus, they can't really consider them.

Consequently, telling them to set aside their petty wants and needs will mostly antagonize them.

Consequently, telling them to set aside their petty wants and needs will only antagonize them.

The game is rated M for mature, so as mature people, some social behavior and politeness is not too much to ask for.

I am completely disconnected from Cyberpunk 2077.
The desire to play is gone.
If you ask me something about the game I have to take a moment and remember what I did.
The first thing that will always come to mind is the dozens of hours running after backpacks in a brainless manner to complete contracts.

Now if you will ask me about TW3, I have this giddy feeling and the itch to always return and see the characters I grew so fond of.

Consequently, telling them to set aside their petty wants and needs will mostly antagonize them.

For good reason as well, they're not petty (unless they're unreasonable like expecting a full system overhaul or a new story line), people just expect a working product which quite a few did not receive.

Like I've been mentioning, if the game was released in a reasonably working condition across the board the media narrative would have been quite different.

A bitter sweet ending to an overall amazing story build on a shaky, buggy and generally unstable foundation is the straw that broke the camel's back for some people, the fact that the sandbox barely reacts to the player's input is another (AI issues mostly).

I don't think those two are petty at all.

True, yet you'll find that the definition of mature, good social behavior and politeness can vary greatly from one individual to another.

Well, calling a company names, ridiculing them after being hacked and had property sold that could ruin the lives of everyone working there, and the company itself....because they cannot get a dlc now, or their will now... i don´t really see any maturity in that.

And those same people would tell you they don't see the maturity in being docile about the situation.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you. I'm merely illustrating my point that certain terms, especially maturity, can have vastly different definitions depending on who you ask.

Cyberpunk 2077 brings to mind Fallout 2 at release - to date the best game i'd played and the least prepared delivery I'd experienced. This is a perfect repetition. I HATE loving fuckups!

If there is a fire, you can either stay calm and try to put it out, or scream at it and call it names.
A fire is still a fire, but i´l pick my first option anyways.

Looking forward to the 1.2 patch.

There is no point rushing it out now. Quality must be the primary target.

It's going to be a long hard road for CDPR to restore faith in its customers. I trust some of the colossal sum of money you have made from sales of Cyberpunk is finding itself shared among the team(s) now responsible for rescuing your reputation.

Hopefully 1.2 will be a turning point.

I have never posted here, but i registered so i can give my 2 cents about all of this.
The post will be a two part-er.
The first part goes to the developers - the people actually writing the code, the artists, the voice actors, the designers.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the wonderful world you have created. As a consumer i can appreciate the fact that all the work you did in those hard conditions /stating the year 2020...../, was rough on all of you and your families. I hope you all stay safe and take your time, so your creativity and hard work can give us the game you wanted to make. Stay safe and keep up the good work.
This part goes to the management and the "decision makers".
Dear "Decision makers" - as a consumer of the product you have deemed "releasable" on 12.10.2020, i am asking at what point you are going to be transparent to your customers? It is perfectly clear that as managers you knew that the patch would NOT be produced, in the promised deadline - how on earth any of you "decided" that it's a good call to keep your 13 million consumers in the dark two days before the promised deadline? In it's current state the product that you sold to those 13 million people is in BETA state. Every single person that played that game - irrelevant of the system can vouch for that. I am not even talking about cut content. I am talking about broken mechanics, perks that are not working, items that are not working, placeholder systems /the Police Wanted System/, scripting issues in the MAIN quests - something that should have been polished months before release. Youtube is filled with movies showing the true state of the game.
You claim you want to be transparent with your customers - since you already lost all faith in your future products here is a friendly suggestion from one of your consumers. Why don't you provide us with a WIP patch notes and stop giving us vague promises and fairy dust. Some comparison videos/screenshots of before/after wouldn't hurt either. If you decide to keep you player base in the dark for the next 45 days /i am sorry but i am not buying this "second half of march" even for a second there/ - and then we get another 1.1 - i can assure you that you won't be making 780 million from the preorders of your next product. You broke your customer's trust several times in a row and it's time to do a bit more "show" and less "tell".
Please dear Decision makers - let the developers show us WHAT is being worked on and WHEN are we going to get it.

Best Regards
An angry customer.

I don't think you were rude at all. This is the space for feedback.

Polite, friendly feedback. Anything else is against the Rules, actually. We've let a lot pass recently, but the rules agreed to before posting are,

"
  • always treat others with kindness and respect
  • stay on topic
  • write in the appropriate language of the forums
  • make an effort to post clear and intelligible content
  • label threads containing sensitive game content and hide graphic screenshots under spoilers
  • do not insult others and try not to easily take offense
  • avoid excessive swearing/profanity
"

Always treat others with kindness and respect. Doesn't matter if you're mad, disappointed or just bored. If you cannot do that on these forums, then don't post until you can.

Thank you for the update and all your hard work.
Take the time you need and most of all keep true to yourself, you achieved something really special with this game and I can't wait to see more. Your work is truly inspiring and I wish you all the best old friend ;)
