A simple - we can get back to work! (or something along those lines) would go a long way to alleviate the situation.

That would imply the latest Schreier ravings had any basis in reality ... which ... isn't what he's paid to peddle.
As to the constant clamoring 4 months after the release, guess that's how you measure the success of a videogame in 2021 ... by the amount of faux hate it receives.

His "ravings" as you put it actually make perfect sense in this case. Don't get me wrong, I don't like most of his writing and I've got a strong negative opinion about his work ethic but in this case I'm inclined to believe it.

It was a big breach and stopping work while they figure out exactly how big of a breach (and fix it) was the right thing to do. Heck, it lines up perfectly with my experience of security breaches and, unlike CDPR, my firm doesn't sell software that, if compromised, could expose their clients and generate a shitstorm.

Checking hundreds of employees' hardware at a time where a lot of them (if not most) work from home is a monumental task.

Funny you mentioned that. In this video Marcin Iwinski says that one of the CDPR principles is honest and direct communication with gamers.
Yet the studio has been silent for months and is not communicating with players.
Well, a couple weeks... not months.

This game is empty nothing fun to do many cut contents gone and unfinished areas and don't forget the bad A.I Lol, that's why I'm done playing this game until they fix it.. But I don't think they can fix it.. sadly but true

Waiting is great, builds character. Am closing in on completing my second playthrough and it makes sense to wait until the next patch before sending Nomad V out into the mad-as-toast wonderful world of Night City. A quick check revealed that there's actually a very lot of other different games that can also be played, so it's not even really like waiting. Take as long as you need, and good luck with sony, their house seems to be a bit of a shambles at the moment in various ways but they have a duty to their stakeholders to make available for digital sale a game, when fixed up to whatever standard they require - presumably not as great as one might be led to believe if the regular system-locking crashes of Black Ops Cold War are any precedent - that will sell by the number of bucketloads that the JPMorgan's of the world invested to see in return.

Meanwhile, they just said late March, so just be realistic and expect to hear nothing til late March. Let's be honest though, if they gave an update today half the folk on here would cry Liars! You said No Update Til Late March!

i with we could turn on two versions of subtitels simultaneously
cos i like english voices but i don't like my native translation subtitles

slang is often used in game and it's hard for me to understand what the characters are talking about
and the translation in the subtitles, meanwhile, does not coincide with the words, because the translators decided to add local features

Whether you like it or not his "ravings" as you put it are spot on when it comes to studios being shady or just outright lying and treating their employees like crap. Maybe the question should be why is CDPR doing things that cause Jason's articles to happen in the first place, rather than why Jason makes them. And it's not "faux hate". You've clearly not actually read the complaints leveled at this game. Most are based in reality. You like it? Great, I'm happy for you. But to claim everyone else is throwing "faux hate" at this game is you living in denial quite frankly.

Edit: typo

Well i have to admit i don't think patch 1.2 will be the life saver many are hoping for.. Even imagining they will fix all the optimization problems and squash all the bugs on the game the core issue remains this game is not what it was advertised to us.

No Branching Narrative.
No RPG System worth of note.
Weak generic looter shooter gameplay.
Beautiful looking open world that has no interaction at all and is just fancy looking but hollow inside.

Now expecting anything else rather than fixing bugs would be unrealistic consider the state the game was launched on. My main concern is that according with the "Management" or i should say "Mr. Marcin" the game is a 9/10 game and they are very proud of it.

I honestly fail to see the future of this game based on this promise however... I hope i am wrong like i was hoping to be wrong when all this fancy marketing were talking about the game with all this celebrities and influencer and i was feeling an odd smoke smell.

There is so many mods out there that add features and fix bugs. people need to relax give CPDR time to fix it they are doing their best. I do not know why when a company messes up and know they messed up and even admitted they messed up that people need to constantly kick a company when its down. Maybe people need to sit back have a coffee mellow out and just enjoy cyberpunk is fun still.

Sitting here complaining about the same old things gets old yes CDPR heard everyone. Lets see when we do get the patch 1.12 if they fix things until then sit back and chill. If you can't or do not want to play cyberpunk 2077 until its fix I am sure people have other games they can play until fix

I disagree. There will be people who download the patch, find that it does not fix something they wanted fixed, then come back here complaining that CDPR was just rushing out the patch and should have taken more time. Then... call them liars for saying that the patch would fix things, when it clearly fixes nothing. :) In other words, pretty much what will happen if the patch is late, early, or on time.

I eagerly await that patch that follows 1.2...

I do not expect that any patch will do that sort of stuff. That is DLC level content, and not even likely DLC content.

To be honest older games such GTA sant andreas have still way more features than this game. I don't think excuse the state that is the game the deiciving marketing campaign and every problems this game has will be healthy for cyberpunk or cdpr.

I want to be clear i was a CDPR fan from witcher 1... But what they did with cyberpunk well... One can't simply defend that.

If the Devs will start a new thread if the patch 1.2 will finally be released? I do hope so, otherwise that information could easily go under beneath some random postings of various community members in this thread because this thread already has the dev reply marking on the topic list.

While You are at it, I thought I would mention, that the PC-Version, which I bought on top of my XBox One X Version, is randomly flatlining at the Project Red Start Screen of the game.

I only customised my character so far, because I still want to finish my Street Kid run on my XBox One X, before I start a Nomad on PC, if I'm able to play it without any crashes etc.

:(

They've done so with every patch.

I think it's safe to assume the same of 1.2. After all, this thread is meant only as an update about the original February target date.

So I need to mod the game in order to get basic functions and features other games have had for decades? Really? The core of Cyberpunk is flawed, no amount of mods or patches will fix that. And yes, they admitted that they messed up. While also knowing the exact state this game was in upon release. But just because Mr. Iwiński can look sad into a camera and "take responsibility" doesn't mean I actually think he learned anything. Other than fans will continue to defend and throw money at this company.

Yeah, I think what frustrates some (including myself) is how it has been one stumble after another out of the gate. In fairness though, there have been some things (the hack) that were not their doing.

I think what gets to me is that, as you noted, I also am having fun playing it but I can also see the vision of what the game should be and currently isn't. They've tried to mash together an open world rpg, first-person shooter, narrative-driven adventure game and they don't quite mix but we can clearly see the gaps that would have made it so much stronger at launch.

I also think there are some concerns that they will drop 1-2 DLCs since they are on the hook for those, then immediately switch to a monetized multi-player before the game is abandoned in favor of their next title. With a couple years of TLC they can make this game truly stand out and earn back their reputation for future titles.

Guess only time will tell and we're all taking it day by day.

Hang out there doing the side quests not focusing on the main thing , when the patch is out play it how it shoould be played...
or just wishful thinking i suppose.
ai is so bad its boring pplz on the street just crunch no reaction whatsoever, it feels disconnected.
the must optimize difficulty as it very simple to kill enemy's the don't even attack you really any side quest is for lvls and generic weps also boring.
