Patch 1.23

+
Just on this point, it's fixed in 1.22. That's for sure, I got more QHs (uncommon/rare/epic) with access points than any previous playthrough ;)

Sorry, it's definitely not fixed on my playthrough, even not with patch 1.23. The bug is already described very well in other threads like this and seems to be potentially occuring on various playthroughs during certain actions, quests or story stages regardless of the patch level. So starting a new playthrough on one of the recent patches might work out fine for you (as you already pointed out in the corresponding thread), but certainly not for everybody (also in that thread). And to be honest: I have spent quite an amount of "quality time" into my current playthrough, so I'd really appreciate a fix for this bug in a patch past 1.23 (amongst lots of other things, which are more related to GFX/QOL on current gen PCs). Cheers! :)

I really hope that CDPR will make their next patches compatible with saves from a previous version of the game. That in the sense of bugs not carrying over to the most recent version when loading from a specific savefile.

"Memory and I/O improvement leading to fewer instances of NPCs with identical appearances spawning in the same area, and to improved streaming."
It's worse for me compared to previous patch. I walk down a street and saw the same model 10-15 times. Crowd density is maxed out, maybe that's the problem? (r7 3700x, 16 gb ram, rtx 2060)

Edit: Nevermind...i think i figured it out. I turned off slow hdd mode, and it's waaaay better now.

Its not mentioned in the patch notes but I got an email from tech support regarding a ticket I submitted for the gig Olive Branch, saying the bug was fixed.

The bug I had was:
the captive that is kept in the trunk has appeared in the passenger seat of the car when you first enter the vehicle and without checking the trunk first. After driving for a bit and the guy in the trunk starts yelling for help if you get out and open the trunk the passenger will then disappear from the passenger seat and appear in the trunk where they should.

They said to check if the issue is persisting after the update. Haven't had a chance to test it myself though.

Easy to test :)
I have this problem (always). When I enter the first time, it is "normally" in the trunk.
But, when I save and reload in the garage (for legendary version of the pant in the container), he appear on the passenger seat. I just open the trunk to teleport him in.
I could try that when I reach level 34+ (or before, but just to test) :)

Edit :
Tested, It's appear to be fixed :)
After a reload, he appear on the passenger seat quickly before been teleported to the trunk (time to load the UI).
(I managed to take a screenshot, but you have to be fast and not in Photo mode).

Another thing that has been modified in 1.23 on XBox at least (I don't know if it was present on PC) is the "automatic" centering on the turrets. Before, I don't know why, in the direction of a turret, the sight was locked on it. It was really annoying...

I just noticed something... Yep, again... But I'm not sure it's new. A nice player can confirm it or not ?
When you scan a advertising, a little text appear in the UI. If it's not new, it's fun, I had never see that :D

* Are all the bugs gone? No.
* Does the game still break? Yes, but not as often!
* Is it playable on a PS4? Yes
* Does it lives up to the hype? No, that would be impossible, I think that most of us understood it early!
*Is it a good game? If you like action RPG, and enjoy following the story, but also go exploring on your own then yes, I have fun, some parts are really well written, and I hope CDPR takes all lessons learned, and use them in further development. Far from GOTY, but very enjoyable if you know what to expect.

What is the best parts:
Some of the NPC's and interactions with them. Parts of the main story, The joy of exploring and getting rewarded for thinking "can i climb this". The weapon system, and the upgrade system works well, the augmentations are a little OP but fun. Likes the sneak, hack or shoot options, even though it usually end with bloodbath.

What is the worst parts?
Driving, it's really bad! A little too easy when most enemies can be rushed. Lack of variety. Main story too short. The city feels dead. Overall it's a little impersonal during gameplay. Lack of information about upgrading and crafting. Hard work to look stylish with decent armor rating, don't want a V that looks like a clown just to get max armor. Bugs, not game breaking anymore, but immersion breaking. Higher difficulty is mostly making enemies bullet sponges. People doesn't really react to your action (compare to bethesda's, where nudity is commented on, and people react differently if your weapon is drawn or not).

A little more patching, and a few meaty dlc's and I'm happy.

Great to see they are still working on fixing the game. But i'll wait for some sunstantial changes to the game before i'll give it another go. I played CP for something between 300 and 400 hours, so i got more than my money's worth and i very much enjoyed the journey. But I haven't touched the game in the last two months. That's because i started to feel slightly bored, and i prefer to wait for more content and changes before i dive into it again, so the experience will feel fresh again.

Aaanyway, i'm still positive CDPR will soon start delivering all the goodies the community is waiting for. It's just taking a little bit too long for my taste, but i guess that's subjective, so... :)

confirmed on PC also..
It has always been there, although I'm not sure if it has been possible with every ad, and maybe it's only possible with more advanced ocular systems... Sometimes a text even appears on objects that are capable of having an ad, without actually having an ad on it. e.g. when you scan the fridge in the netrunner's room in the Afterlife, before Nix is present.

I actually just started playing, had the feeling it was patched enough to be playable by now, especially since Sony is considering putting it back in the store. I have a good time, altering between this and ME:LE, and are having fun. Didn't buy in to the hype, but bought it on release, and happy that CDPR didn't give up on the game, but keep improving. But if you bought the hype I understand why you'd be disappointed. And "RPG" is a little too much, more action than "RPG", would like more dialogue options, preferably based on background, actions and build. The ones that are available now doesn't really matter. Have had one breakdown on PS4 (compared to 1 every half hour before) encountered a few bugs (apparently V felt that her genitals needed some air, and refused to wear pants, so half of Night City has seen her genitals while I ran and bought her a skirt that she accepted. Hate the random stats on clothes, refuse to dress like a clown to max armor.

Ok, thanks :)
I had never paid attention, and there by "chance" I see one. I test on the panels nearby, they also appear. I has wondered, if it was new or if I was blind... :D
(And what surprised me the most not to have seen it before, is that it appears from super far. As far as it is possible to scan an advertising)

First, this update and the last previous ones actually DECREASING my performance and giving LOD problems, noticeable object-popups and ghosting screen sometimes. 9700K@4700Ghz + RTX 3080 AMP UV

Second, still not hear'd about those cut-off content/feature implementations that we obviously miss for a good reason. When will those come?

Just a wild thought but... maybe there actually *was* a lot of time and effort put into this patch? Although it doesn't seem like a lot have changed-- at least not in a positive way-- maybe they sorted out a lot of shity code? Maybe the game is not crashing all the time because of removed mess in code, not because there is less stuff visible on screen thanks to downgrade?

I never thought about it this way until I had to sort out some of my own paperwork at work. It doesn't sound or look impressive, but some things simply have to be done if you want further progress to happen.

Tried it on ps4 pro running from external SSD. HDR on and messed with tge tv settings.
Performance is a lot better for me. But graphics look different. I won't say downgraded or upgraded, they look more adjusted to the console. Meaning I don't think now I can have a texture resolution on screen as high as the highest texture resolution present on screen at a given moment before patch 1.23. The thing was, before, the screen was filled with different resolution qualities shifting like crazy in accordance with player movement. Now the painting seems like it was made by the same painter as it moves, it's more uniform, but the general effect also becomes blurrier all over and the colours more pronounced, on some parts of town a bit cartoonish.
Main and secondary characters look a lot better. I just redid the first ride with River and before the lighting on his wet face was very stange, glowing when in dark areas but now react properly to light.
On the negative side, for me, it takes something away from the ambient they captured so well but that on the console only shined through at moments or at parts of the screen because it turns everything into a more general look and lighting, specialy when driving/walking through town. Gameplay wise it seems to be running a lot more stable which is a big plus.
It looks to me, based only on how it changed for me, they are adjusting or cleaning code to fit the platforms starting with consoles. I hope if this is the case that they will soon create more advanced settings for good PC owners before the next gen update and that they eventually can raise somethings up on the base consoles versions.

If The Witcher 3 runs on a Nintendo Switch without problems, I don't want to know how difficult it was to transition Cyberpunk to last gen consoles. It must have been extremely frustrating.

Here's my experience with Cyberpunl 2077 Patch 1.23 played on Ryzen 5800x and RTX3080

...........

So that's my first impressions of the patch. If there are any improvements, they must be in sorting the engine out, not in how the game feels to the end user.

Damn.. sounds exactly like the kind of circus that made me decide to stop playing early in the story, uninstall and wait until there's an immersive experience to be had in this game world.

I want nothing more than to enjoy the game's playthrough and I refuse to play it if all the good that has been put into it is entirely marred by ridiculous issues, bad AI and a world where all the surroundings look pretty, but everything in it feels like bad puppet theatre, taking me away from the experience every few minutes. Like disappearing npc's, npc's appearing from thin air, npc's walking back and forth or aimlessly, everyone raising their arms and cowering when a bullet is fired and disappearing if I do a 360 etc. + incorrect animations, people sitting in the air next to chairs and all sorts of other things you just described. (Oh and thanks for the detailed test results, so I won't have to give the beginning of the game a spin again)
Nothing in a world like that manages to ground me into it.

Such a shame, but - well - to me, this just means that CyberPunk 2077 is still delayed.

I'll play it WHEN IT'S READY..

It's great that you guys fixed some of the issues. My major issue is that the main story line is bugged so I can't continue. I can do all the other missions, side jobs and open world stuff but can't play the main story? That's what I think needs to be fixed more than a few little things

First start of the game and every other try after that, after the latest patch, on PC:

CP2077_1.jpg

Even a fresh start, including fresh character creation, doesn't make a difference.

It crashes with an old save latest when I see for the first time my Nomad Car, with a new game it crashes straight after the character creation is finished or straight after pressing "continue game".

For that I had to wait over 2x month ?
