Patch 1.23

Patch 1.23: "Memory and I/O improvement leading to fewer instances of NPCs with identical appearances spawning in the same area, and to improved streaming."

Me, literally all in the span of one hour:

So.... how do I fix this?

Same here. Since patch 1.23, the NPC clones have become worse. Playing on PC with max settings.

No way to fix it at the moment. Just gotta hope CDPR will do so with patch 1.3...

Also the LOD and world streaming has become worse with 1.23. NPCs, cars and even my own weapons are constantly materializing out of thin air right in my view. It's bad.

Personally I think they should lessen the amount of food/drink varieties - I mean, does it really need so many different options for things that do exactly the same thing? I like options as much as anyone, but damn, there's just soooo many!
Well in their other games there are a lot of food and drinks too for example in The Witcher 2 There are many food but they are listed as junk and Geralt can't even use them or in The Witcher 3 there a lot of drinks/wines that were increased in B&W Expansion.

To be honest, I've pretty much given up on it now, it's just squatting on an external drive waiting for updates. It's looking to me like the promise to fix it was yet another fib... esp. since 1.23 somehow managed to bring back a bunch of problems that were supposedly fixed on XB1. I've been gaming for decades, literally, and I've never felt this disappointed/ripped off by a game before.
Moderate me if you want, but it's only the truth, I won't lie to make them look good.

It's been another month with no patches. Meanwhile I have games from indie single person developers, small teams, who are cranking out meaningful, useful updates to games every week if not sooner at times.

There hopefully will be some actual "updates" going on, not just patching bugs.

Two games I'm playing now, Dragon Quest 11 I can play in two different casinos, with different games in each casino. Not to mention, in DQ11 you can switch between 3D and old school 2D mode for the entire game which is pretty impressive. I was playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 last night, you can seamlessly switch between First Person and Third Person mode, and you can actually see your character too! Wow!

ESO lets you do that brilliantly as well and the game is almost 7 years old (I think, on console). That game is huge compared to CP'77 too.

Fantastic another update and its still totally unplayable for me with the lock on the F key bind. Seriously the game is unplayable for people who use the arrow keys to move. I use Num0 for my interact key. This worked fime while I was able to update the ini file to change it. I have not been able to play the game since 1.22 came out. Fix this please as I would like to continue playing this at some point.

Guys, ever since the new update. I can't get into the game without it crashing after 5 minutes. I love CDPR but this is ridiculous. :(

That is very unfortunate for you. I suggest, If you are on PC, to validate the integrity of the game files. I do that every time Cyberpunk 2077 get an update because somehow there is always some missing files I need to download again. I hope this helps.

Nope. Xbox 1 S but thank you. I'm just uninstalling and reinstalling. It just doesn't make any sense. Before these updates I no crashes and only a few bugs. Now I can't get in. I don't get it. I'm a big fan of the Witcher franchise. So I'm pretty sure they'll get it eventually. But this is a bit frustrating.

Yes it is. Perhaps report this to the tech support but yeah I know it doesn't solve your problem short term. You can do that here:

Just a question, can you try on "fresh" new save ?
Because I suppose you load a pre 1.23 save on 1.23 game. If you crash every 5 minutes, that could be quick to test :)

Agree. They should also remove all health boosters from physical drops on the map. Add them to the medical shops, I almost never visit these places and they seem like a missed opportunity. Also remove health boosters from crafting.

Also so that it is not so OP and breaks the game as an addict giving all the time to the drug that the stimulant could be adrenaline where it regenerates life for a certain time but at the end of time it descends to the starting point and that one has to heal for others means out of action.

I correct myself to make it more attractive. It must be a 2nd life bar with these characteristics and that the original one is recovered with food or sleeping.

For the "loot" in general, I can't agree, I love looting too much :(
But for health items, yes. They can be totally removed and only available in shops (and best ones only on street drugs sellers).

Ok I'm having a very strange issue. Ps4 pro running from external SSD. Everytime I shut down the game (from main ps4 menu using options button or Exit game) it shuts down the console. And when I restart it it tells me it was incorrectly shut down and to repair the ssd as it always happens after a bad shutdown of the console.
Has anyone had this? I think I'll have to reinstall (on a bad internet connection) :(

Sometimes I feel this game plays me more than I play it

I think the first thing to determine is if it's the game or the system. Do you have any other games installed on that SSD and does the system restart when you close that game as well? If you don't have any other games on that SSD, do you have one you can temporarily install on it to see if closing that game has the same effect?

Can you also confirm how much free space is left on the SSD? Good idea is to keep about 20% of the total disk space free.
