Will the steam version be automatically updated through the steam client or will this work for the steam version also? ???

I just tried to install this vis the dl patch and was told " The Witcher is not installed correctly. Cannot be patched."I suppose everyone who purchased this on steam will just have to be patient.

Yeap it is not working. If we are lucky we will see the patch in a month or two on Steam...

Downloaded 1.5 & installed perfectly. Just had to see what was new in the adventures. Since I've played the main game so much I never bothered with the MODs. Is it usual that there is no music and only some sounds to go along with them? No matter, I'm just greatful that now I can put the game disk back in its box and let it rest. The DRM removal was spot on!

Wonderful job on the patch, guys! Even on the first day, it didn't take that long to download, and it installed smoothly. Now off to enjoy it....

Thanks for the continued support of the game, CDPR! It is truly heartening to see a company truly support it's products and customers. Looking forward to Director's Cut and hopefully a sequel in the not too distant future.

Great!I just downloaded it and installed it. Started playing "Merry Witchmas" and must say its brillant!I found a little girl singing "Eeenie, meenie, mienne, moe, catch a Witcher by the toe" and another townsman screaming "There is no Spoon!! There is no Spoon!!" :DGreat job to the Mod Developers and thanks to CD Project for making a nice happy bundle of it!

Thanks a lot to CDP. But please take the time to answer a couple of questions:1)I've already downloaded two of the new Adventures. Will this create problems?2)Will the new Adventures have voice-overs, since they come with an official patch?

Why not just remove the two you've downloaded from the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\The Witcher directory and then let the installer do its thing?
2)Will the new Adventures have voice-overs, since they come with an official patch?

The only one I've started so far is Quiet Hamlet, and it doesn't have voice-overs. Hiring all those actors is expensive! It's a cute little thing, though; if I were you, I wouldn't pass it up just because it has no voice-overs.Edited to add: Ah, and here's the official word, from the The Witcher 1.5 ReadMe File, dated July 06, 2009: All adventures are translated to English and Polish, and only have subtitles (no voices).

Edit: it started to download but had to wait 10 minutes before it started and it will take 10 hours. Why so slow?

Because the new patch just came out today, so thousands and thousands of people are downloading it at once!

I'm playing "Merry Witchmas" and there are no voices either. The thing's hilarious though, I found an elf saying "And they say they have hairy feet" --> Hobbits!

Well of course there are no voice-overs the new adventures were created by some fans :p. And is it just me, or did my official adventures disappear (the two from the EE)?

I played 'The Wedding' and found it was quite a bit different from the version I downloaded before. Text slightly changed, Kalkstein has his original model back and best of all, no bugs with dialogue! However, there was a new bug with a fistfight where the opponent vanished into thin air, leaving me unable to exit the mode.

I had downloaded 1.5v patch, installed it on the "Russian!" version of game, and then... In few words: launcher don't understand current version of game...I can play, but if I'm launching patch process again, program "Can't detect current version of game!"... :hmmm:

Try opening d'jinni, then go to the view menu, select Text language and choose English (i assume) or whichever other language suits you, then close it again.then reload the game, it should be in the language you chose. :peace:
