Patch 1.63 — list of changes

+
It remind me someone here, don't know who :giggle:
Here the related thread on the forum (posted by @koalahugs :

For me, the patch size was like 58 gb on gog (PC) - is this real?
Were there really so many changes?
Or is it once more a bugged downloader?
My download was smaller

PC-specific
  • Improved performance of DLSS Frame Generation on AMD CPUs.
My game does indeed seem to run faster with my 5900X, at least as far as I can remember when comparing the benchmark numbers.

My download was smaller
Maybe I was missing a patch, but I find it improbable.
These huge patches occur on gog (with CDPR games), it's probably an error in determining the difference in changed files.
Though they fix them...sometimes :)

Did you guys fix the man-burger bug yet?

maybe best to leave this one out
Same here or with childen in River house. These small bugs are so immersion breaking. CDPR really needs to fix them before flood gates open with new players.

I like the fact that there was an update but what about the promise that we get DLC's for free? If I recall this correctly, there was supposed to be one DLC and COOP Multiplayer addition... COOP was scrapped cuz of all them people that were breaking the game on purpose and making a bad name for it and I kinda understand that the focus had to be changed but you made it yourself by making a PC game and porting it into a console... TBH I have never experienced any bugs in the game except the ones I purposely looked for or caused... But Paying for Phantom Liberty? I am sorry but the fact that I received all Wild Hunt expansions for free despite the fact that I was willing to pay for them and the fact that I bought Cyberpunk and spent a really long time in the game without mods and then some time with mods, trying to protect the game, showing people how to play the game properly and so on, I kinda dont want to pay for an expansion/DLC... And no I aint asking for it, I am just saying that its sad that true fans have to pay for it... I think what CDPR should have done was Release on PC as a PC exclusive, debug the game during that time, abandon console ports, wait for players to find some bugs, fix them bugs, make additional content and THEN focus on making a console port cuz by that time there would already be PS5 and it would be much easier to port nearly clean game instead of what happened in the past on previous generation of consoles...

That being said, all them things in this update I have never experienced... and I did finished the game 3 times for each lifestyle... which means 9 times total and 2 times I finished all missions and I saw all endings... Yet what is quite interesting that bugs that are in photo mode like invisible kids and such is just annoying, once I tried to make a wholesome photo with them 2 kids near the beach and I was shocked that they became invisible, this was not fixed and every mod that fixxed it got burned to the ground with each update... And then the removed content like for example street vendors that offered cheap stuff... I remember that they were there when the game got released but for some reason removed... and the last thing, I think that the one quest where you enter a specific luxury clothes spot, cyberpsycho enters and ruins the shop, you kill him and then MaxTac arrives but hes already dead, I think that this was not supposed to be the end of the questline (I do know that the female MaxTac officer was somewhat of a refference to the teaser trailer) yet V got an offer but accordingly to the reply, the quest was finished but everything was pointing towards more content that was cut out...

I dont understand why CDPR even bothers with console versions of the game... the console itself is like 700 bucks, plus TV plus expensive markup on games in shop and nearly no sales unlike GOG and Steam versions of Cyberpunk, yet people say that consoles are for budget gamers but I have more PC games for way cheaper that console games... The point is, if it was up to me, I would abandon consoles to have more time and energy to work on PC version to make it better and then if something is left I would made a console port... Look at The Last of Us PT1... we got a PC port after like 13 years? Which means I played it for the first time... on PC...

These pointless updates that are screwing up my mods are just annoying, I would love to see more cars, clothes, actual car dealership, more open world interactions, more random scenarios, more side activities like bounty hunting and such... Like its in Red Dead Redemption 2... That game took less time to develop, devs spent less cash to make the game, made more money from sales cuz they took care of the release unlike CDPR whom got forced to release Cyberpunk even tho they promised it will come out when its ready... and much more... I want to roll time back and experience everything again about Cyberpunk, when I was just a kid and saw the teaser and started building the game in my head how it could look like... I did had high expectations and on release the game exceeded all of them... now its going down and down and I rather play Fallout 4 than Cyberpunk just cuz Todd cared about modders, CDPR does too but their updates like this one ruin everything...

Now, since I have mods installed mkay, the game wants me to update on GOG but when I click update, it goes for 20 minutes before it says "update failed" and then I gotta verify game installation, game requires update again, update fails and im stuck in this loop... So I guess its time to fully uninstall? Or IDK what...[...]

Easy, there was never a promise to offer the expansion(s). Expansion(s) was always announced as "paid content", unlike DLCs which were, as announced, free.
I don't remember any promise about multi-player... They work on multi-player features, but abandoned them when they decided to use Unreal Engine instead of their own engine (Red Engine).

On side note, you received Hearth Of Stone and Blood & Wines for free, when they were released? I'm surprised... because I had to pay both o_O

Don't hope for a fix, it's probaly an intended feature to prevent "weird" screenshots including kids...

Maybe because at release, about 45% of the total game copies were sold on consoles ;)

Thank you to all of the people who have worked so hard on this game for soon long now, since befor and after it was released!

It is very much so appreciated! :D

New patch and Pyramid Song questline is still bugged. You still die when you reach certain point of the dive. Please fix this quest breaking bug!!

You're using mods? Because as far as I understood, it seem to be due to a mod (Judy Romance Enhanced) and the issue seem to remains in save files, so...
Take a look on the last posts here:
Useless to say that CDPR will never fix this issue (nor be able to^^) ;)

Never fix? Sure.
Nor be able to? Well, they added the insta kill planes into the diving site for unknown reasons and without mentioning them in the patch notes for 1.62.lastPCpatch. And made them trigger off some obscure quest facts that are still not understood.
With some goodwill they could just remove them.

Did they "add" it in 1.62 ?
Or it was there since release and a change in the 1.62, triggered the mod issue?
I bet for the second option...
I can test on my side on console (in 1.63). But on PC it would be "rather" easy to try in previous version (just need to dive here before the quest in 1.5 or 1.61).

Anyway, if the issue is due to a mod, that's not something that CDPR have to take care about (you're using mod at your own risk).

Just a heads up that if you're on GOG and you want to roll back, 1.61 is currently as far back as you can go. One more patch and 1.61 may very well be gone forever. So if anyone wants to back up a clean 1.61 copy of the game NOW IS THE TIME TO DO IT.

So they "cleaned up" their servers :(
No so long ago (two/three months), someone roll back to the 1.5 (or 1.52, don't remember).
(Offline backup installers prior to 1.61 are no longer available too?)

It's because it works like this:

They give you access to the last 5 updates max. It's a bit silly how it's currently set up to be honest. It means all those tiny mini-updates end up filling up the queue.

Ok, annoying :(
And I imagine, the offline installers you can download using the GOG website are the ones corresponding to these five game versions?
Install with offline installers
2) Alternatively, you can install your games without the app, using the offline installer:
- access your GOG account with a browser (https://www.gog.com/account)
- select a game
- click 'DOWNLOAD OFFLINE BACKUP GAME INSTALLERS' and download all necessary setup files
