Patch 2.01 coming soon (known issues)

+
I was not using any mods other than LHUD and GITS at the time. I wanted to keep this as vanilla as possible for the purposes of an honest personal review. LOD mods have always been an issue, but Sosuine's are the most stable in my experience.

Yeah, usually it takes Sosuine a few iterations before it works proprely. I imagine the new streaming sectors will make it much more challenging than before.
Understood. It sucks seeing stuff like that after all these years of waiting and waiting, it really looks like this engine has reached its limits, for every leak they seal two more open. -.-'

Anyway, I am playing with Sosuine's mod and I have encountered no problems so far, but I'm also spending most of the time outside of Dogtown for now, so I cannot tell if there are issues on my side. But probably there are given the fact the mod has been currently hidden.

PS5 player here.

I've held off playing CP77 for years (had a few spurts here and there). Anyway, here I am. Still very early in the game, but over all I'm really enjoying the experience so far.

But damn, what is up with the shimmering / grainy effect across everything? I have tested it on both performance and ray traced-shadow modes, as well as turning off all filters (film grain, chromatic aberration, motion blur, etc). I've turned down sharpness and reality creation on my TV - nothing helps. In certain scenes - particularly outdoors - it has a similar effect to rain hitting the pavement. This fuzzy static that's across many of the textures was noticeable earlier on, but as I progress, has become so blatant it's started to impact immersion. I can't help but see it everywhere now. It's horrible, especially given how good almost every other aspect of the game looks. When I briefly played the game some time ago, I do recall a similar effect, but I don't recall it being so egregious.

Is this being addressed, or is this going to be filed alongside "flickering clouds in Toussaint" ?

Sorry to hear about some of the horror stories of other PS5 players. Damn. You'd think after the calamitous launch of CP77 they'd dot every i and cross every t.

Hey, chooms! We want to give you a heads-up that Patch 2.01 will be coming soon.

Here's a list of the most important fixes and improvements that will be included there:
  • The distorted effect caused by selecting a specific dialogue option when talking to Johnny at the end of Automatic Love will no longer persist on the screen.
  • V will no longer die in The Heist by falling through the elevator when riding to the 42nd floor with low FPS.
  • Fixed an issue where the UI could show controller inputs when playing with keyboard and mouse.
  • Made it possible to properly switch to arms cyberware by cycling through weapons.
  • Gig: Breaking News will be properly triggered after approaching the quest area.
  • Vehicle radio volume will be adjusted so it's not too quiet when compared to other sounds in the game.
  • Addressed the issue of corrupted saves on PlayStation by increasing the maximum save file size limit.
Note: this won't fix the saves corrupted before the update. If you're experiencing the issue, keep a working save (e.g. resave it as manual save) till 2.01 arrives.
  • Performance improvements for both PC and consoles, especially in the Dogtown area.
Remember that these are just the highlights, so stay tuned for more details!
Yow can we get a friggin update? Your “Soon” is now almost a week! That’s a week a lot of your buyers can simply not play what they paid for.

If you're on PC, some users have suggested turning off Cross Save Progression in the settings menu and that fixed the auto-save crashing.
I don't typically crash much and I turn off cross save and cloud. Id turn off the autosaving 18 different files randomly if I could have the option..

Actually you would think after 2020 we would have learned by now to hold off giving them money for busted content that is useless unplayable at launch yet again.

Cyberware capacity Shard does not increase Cyberware capacity (or does not permanently, it goes back if you upgrade cyberware)
Cyberware upgrade from 5 to 5++ stats and Bonus get worse. (some cyberware has stats modifier from other cyberware update, chipware connoissor)
Cyberware "Ram Recoup" can not be upgraded to give +2 RAM and attunement. it shows in the upgrade tooltip, but it's not upgraded afterward.
Can not use mouse wheel to cycle to Arms Cyberware

I would like a refund until the game is playable. This is the last time I buy anything from CDPR for full price.
I hope Sony removes it from the store again. I could of used the cash to purchase a game that actually works. 🤔
I`m already in the process of getting a refund. playstation support says they can`t refund a game that`s been already played, but it is also clearly stated in their refund policy that they can`t refund unless it is defective. I guess this is almost an exact definition of a defective game, so there should be no way around giving us back our money.

Is anyone else getting the 'UI showing controller inputs instead of keyboard and mouse' bug ONLY when using their Steam link? I only seem to get this issue when I am using my remote play with Steam link. And I've tried all of the steam link related 'fixes' already. I thought maybe it was due to this bug but since I'm not having the issue when I play directly on my PC now I am not so sure.

My assumption is that the patch is taking so long because they are wanting to release FSR 3 with the patch. If so then this is a stupid reason and CDPR should really stop focusing on bullshit technology gimmicks like pathtracing and FSR 3 and actually fix years old bugs.

Cdpr should do they're jobs right the first time.

I dunno what I did, but the police system stopped working suddely. Doesn't matter what I do I don't get a police reaction

Jo guys,

i hope you are also aware of a quite critical gamebreaking bug in the Mission Dog Eat Dog
even though one can "work around" the first events not triggering aka the Generator and Access point
as well as the car elevator, the last elevator will get you stuck if you get this bug

no amount of reloading triggers the quest to go further, neither the SoMi dialouge starts nor the
elevator is interactable (after you call it down)

Dog Eat Dog bugs this site describes the bug
as said though for me and others it seems the last elevator bug can t be worked around
I have a clean new downloaded install, NO MODS at all
and a fresh started game

So please don t release the patch without a fix for this?

PS:
Yes the support is already contacted and savegames are send in
*fingerscrossed* you find the cause of the issue fast
