Patch 2.01 coming soon (known issues)

+
The feeling that the words “coming soon” are simply to ensure that there are fewer DLC returns... soon is a very vague concept, and extremely convenient!
Of course they're a business. Anyways I'm wondering if a new V will have the same data save file issues with the dlc. Also wondering if I turn off cloud sync and just roll with the backups I have to this point and not turn it on while I do the main story and expansion then I'll have it to fall back on. I mean it cannot get corrupted if it's not in sync with the PlayStation. I miss memory cards. They worked just fine the cloud could be causing these issues you know. Think about how often this game auto saves and no option to turn it off man and it's also saving to the cloud at the same time while the game is under CPU and GpU strain. That alone could cause crashes and corrupt data like a power outage can.

Well... Or it mean that they currently working to fix the major bigs/issues players encountered and they have no idea exactly how long it will take... Just saying :giggle:

CDPR Please issue a full refund of Phantom Liberty to us PS5 players who are unable to play this game. Your vagueness about an update being 'soon' to fix this broken junk of a game is ridiculous.

Is it only happening on PS? That seems kinda odd tbh... Not sure how big my saves are but i could check i guess.
I wonder if autosave and cloud sync has a role in this. Typically save files are corrupted for a few reasons. One being power outage during a save in progress. Another being weird things like save bloat which autosave contributes to. Which is why this game needs an option to turn off autosave entirely. Manual saves inside a paused menu are the way to go with games like this. Period. Also selecting continue game can break a save file believe it or not. So many players using the cloud but it didn't help them at all? Gotta wonder if the cloud sync is a culprit here. I miss the days of memory cards personally. Eleven autosaves is ridiculous.

It did not happend before tho and autosaves has allways been like this, according to CDPR its save file sizes so it should affect everybody unless PS saves are diffrent in some way? Think this happend before in some patch too now that i think about it...

Yep from 2020...

Actually, it's much simpler than that. CDPR forgot to up the 8 MB game save limit on PS5. You'd think with an update as massive as 2.0 and PL that someone would have caught this. Moreover, PC players had this SAME problem with damaged save files 3 years ago. Why didn't CDPR just up the save limit for ALL platforms when they increased it for PC?!? C'mon now!

Yeah... It's not as bad launch by a long shot, but my experience so far has been tinged with deja vu.
I like what I've played, or been able to at least as an entire "dungeon" for a gig is bugged - like instant CTD bugged and the one time I managed to get in there every save after entering that area is an instant CTD. Numerous small things, thankfully the Mega City one police system is broken for now :D, and RT is thoroughly borked. Included Path Tracing. It's aaaaalll broken.

I have actually not hade that experiance, PT is borked and ghosting is crazy (Due to RR?) but no game breaking bugs or crashes so far. Dam i forgott about the bug with no cars or pedestrians anyware. Fixed it by watching the new BD in Vs apartment ^^

If you go back through the thread you can see my write ups with evidence to support what I think is going on. Like the catch lights - I think it was done intentionally until they figure out how to make it not look bad with RR. RR does wonders for things like hair and fur now that denoising isn't wrecking havoc, but it really hurts character skin and in a lot of cases it's not doing what it's "supposed" to be doing it seems. Bummer as they had this on point in 1.63.

Top is RR off, Bottom RR on. Brings back the early days of disabling the fake rim lighting.

I had that as well - the ol f5/f9 worked.

Hey, chooms! We want to give you a heads-up that Patch 2.01 will be coming soon.

Here's a list of the most important fixes and improvements that will be included there:
  • The distorted effect caused by selecting a specific dialogue option when talking to Johnny at the end of Automatic Love will no longer persist on the screen.
  • V will no longer die in The Heist by falling through the elevator when riding to the 42nd floor with low FPS.
  • Fixed an issue where the UI could show controller inputs when playing with keyboard and mouse.
  • Made it possible to properly switch to arms cyberware by cycling through weapons.
  • Gig: Breaking News will be properly triggered after approaching the quest area.
  • Vehicle radio volume will be adjusted so it's not too quiet when compared to other sounds in the game.
  • Addressed the issue of corrupted saves on PlayStation by increasing the maximum save file size limit.
Note: this won't fix the saves corrupted before the update. If you're experiencing the issue, keep a working save (e.g. resave it as manual save) till 2.01 arrives.
  • Performance improvements for both PC and consoles, especially in the Dogtown area.
Remember that these are just the highlights, so stay tuned for more details!
FSR 3.0?

I was trying to post a bug but I can't yet because I'm new. Does anyone else experience when looting, even though the top loot is highlighted it will take the loot beneath it instead?

Did not for me, it was after that quest to steal the car in PL. The truck started flipping out in the garage and then not a single soul in sight outside. Dident notice at first and then i was like wtf? sleeping did not help so i tested the new BD and it did so it reset the world i guess?

Very interesting, seeing how on Series X (and i think as well on PC? ) after i completed the story and started collecting vehicles, clothing and iconics, that's when my auto-save AND quick saves started to crash the game continuously...wondering if it's the same bug...just all around saves are bloated and reached the memory limit. Someone CDPR forgot about this feature..no wonder they want to switch to unreal 5...Red engine sounds like it's patched with duct tape and hope. :p

Do we have any word on when patch 2.01 is coming out? Is it today? Is it tomorrow? Next week? Because saying “coming soon” doesn’t give us an estimate time when to expect it. Each day it seems like the game getting worse making it unplayable for a lot of other players as well. Knowing when the patch is going to come can give some of these players comfort that the game is getting fixed

PL is corrupting PS5 save files 30 mins into the DLC. For example, ALL my saves (auto/quick) starting with the 2nd mission "Hole in the Sky" corrupt after jumping down the chute. Cyberpunk is completely unplayable. As far as Unreal 5, I expect great things from the sequel as the Unreal engine is widely used, developer friendly, and feature rich. Hopefully, CDPR will finally be able to deliver the Cyberpunk they showcased in the E3 48 min gameplay demo 5 years ago.

with some of the new issues cropping up due to Phantom Liberty, i'd assume it will take time to narrow down fixes, test them and submit to first party (on console). I'm assuming PC might get a partch early next week while consoles might be next week or later.

Unfortunately, no release date as of yet. However, developers usually like to drop updates on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Maybe tomorrow...

@Vattier
I hope that with the new patch one more error will be corrected, I increased my body level and the information about the adrenaline rush simply disappeared. Below are the images showing the before and after.
