Patch 2.12

+
  • Addressed an issue where the game could enter an infinite loading state, hang up or crash on Xbox when using some saves.
This error still persists. I can get past it after rebooting the x-box, but the save icon will pop up again not much later (usually after an auto-save) and the game will bug out: quest progression stops (characters won't start their dialogue) and saves can't be made or loaded. Pretty much unplayable at this point.

Did you try to delete every auto-saves just in case there is something wrong with "old" aut-saves?

Overclock kills you. Drains your health slowly (sometimes fast) until you reload a save. Netrunner builds are completely broken. even after second heart revives me my health drains until im dead or reload a save.

Cloudy star-gazing is still a thing:

And Bobby's still missing at the start of the campfire (before teleporting in):

My character doesn't pick up a MAXDOC inhaler, it doesn't drop from opponents, and I don't see it in vendors' inventories. I can't even craft, even though I uploaded your blueprint, but it doesn't show up in my inventory either. Has anyone experienced this? I reinstalled the game, but the situation didn't change either.

"Physical" health items or grenades do no longer exist ;)
You have a set amount, they're upgraded when picking up blueprints and replenish themself when used (with a cool down).

You're right. thanks for the help! :p (and)

Patch 2.12 for Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty is being rolled out on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It focuses on main issues experienced by players after Patch 2.11, such as key bindings.

Check out the list of changes below for details:

PC-specific
  • It will now be possible to properly rebind the Radioport and dropping bodies to a different key on AZERTY keyboards. Switching quest objectives will now be assigned to the T key on all keyboards.
  • Fixed an issue where trying to bind the T key to actions in Exploration & Combat resulted in a "Binding Failed" error.
  • Together with Intel we fixed the stuttering issue that occurred while the "Prioritize P-Cores" option was enabled.
  • Together with Razer we fixed a crash that occurred when using Razer Chroma enabled devices.
  • Fixed an issue where NPC hair could appear extremely bright inside vehicles when Ray Tracing is enabled.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred on Steam Deck when playing with Ray Tracing enabled.
Xbox-specific
  • Addressed an issue where the game could enter an infinite loading state, hang up or crash on Xbox when using some saves.
All Platforms
  • Fixed an issue causing the inability to access the menu, inventory, stash, holocalls and fast travel.
  • Updated the description of the Sonic Shock quickhack so that it properly reflects the changes made to its behavior in 2.1.
  • Improved visibility of the controller cursor in menus and when using computers or keypads. This change will primarily help Steam Deck users, but will also benefit consoles and PC when using a controller.
  • New Dawn Fades - Fixed an issue where it wasn't possible to open the phone to read the notification from the Automated Delivery System.
  • I Can See Clearly Now - Lowered the Body attribute check required to move the dumpster.
  • I Walk the Line - Sasquatch's jump attack will now properly register as a hit and deal damage.
  • Riders on the Storm - Enemy cars in the chase sequence will now shoot at Panam's van.
  • Nocturne Op55N1- Fixed an issue where, after choosing to call Reed, the conversation sometimes wouldn't trigger, blocking progression.
  • Sonic Shock will now be properly categorized as a Covert quickhack.
  • Fixed instances where groups of immortal enemies could appear across Night City.
  • Fixed an issue where some elements on the perk screen wouldn't change after switching to Colorblind Mode.
  • BioDyne Berserk will now properly have increased Crit Chance from its Reflexes Attunement.
Hello cdprojekt, I'd like to give you my feedback on a very serious bug that's seriously affecting my playing experience in DLC Phantom Liberty. When I choose to help Songbird advance to the "Farther Than Far" level in Phantom Liberty, when I get out of the van at the air port, Songbird will take away my weapon, and no matter which sentence I choose, if I choose to turn in my weapon to push the quest, the game will crash. Crashing, which has caused me from pre-ordering Phantom Liberty to now have not been able to properly end Phantom Liberty plot process, I originally thought that through the in-game bug feedback channel can let the developers find this bug, but I have been waiting for almost two months but never a little news. This is the only way I can give bug feedback, I really do want to continue playing the game and experience the other endings and stories, I'm now completely stuck at the air port with no way to get out of the car or terminate, or else start all over again, and it's making it very difficult.

I'm having a serious issue with this game. I bought a Radeon 6900 XT 16GB card just before the update and now my game crashes every time it loads. Whether I start a new game, load a saved game, or try to run the benchmark, it refuses to work. I've tried different resolutions, every graphic setting turned on or off, rolling back GPU drivers to older versions, you name it I've tried it. The game just does not want to work. I've put a ton of time into this game and I'd like to continue doing so with the latest patch. Can you help me figure out what the problem is or maybe work on a patch for 6000 series Radeon GPU's as it seems to be a common theme among anyone using them?

Try to :
Either rename this file (just add a letter/number), either reset your keybindings to default.
CChromaEditorLibrary64.dll
- Steam > Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64'
- GOG > GOG Galaxy\Games\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64
Where do we officially post bugs since update?
As always, on thesupport official website :

I came across a bug: in patch 2.1 they introduced a feature - depending on V’s choices, triggers would go off and he would be chased by corporations or bandits while freely driving around the city, as in the 2k18 trailer, it was cool, it was repeated suddenly and often.
BUT ! For some reason, with patch 2.11 and 2.12, these sudden collisions disappeared, you reduced them so much that they broke them! The city has become less immersive again!
As a person who completed the entire game, I love driving around the city and it was fun to shoot back from sudden attacks, but no! CDPR managed to break this feature on consoles! As for the PC - I don’t know, I can’t say, but the PS and Xbox consoles have definitely stopped haunting V with this bug now. RETURN AND FIX THIS MECHANIC!

From what I heard, V is chased depending of what happen during quests/GIGs. More GIGs/quests you complete with open-combat (no one will chase you if you haven't been detected), more often it happen. For example, you complete three GIGs in a row, three chases will possibly happen afterward with related gangs/corpos.
But if you finished everything and wander in the city "doing nothing", you won't be chased by anyone.

I have the right to be pissed though. When Phantom Liberty (PL) 2.0 first came out It broke my game for 2 and a half months. (until 2.1) with constant crashes in certain areas in Night City and no explanations from them as I did reach out to CDPR support. I had to literally avoid getting close to the stadium where the Dog Eat Dog mission starts (like 200m or so) or it would freeze with the sound looping for a few minutes and then it flatlined. Patch 2.01 and 2.02 did not fix it and they told me to make sure I disable mods and reinstall the game from scratch which did nothing. 2.1 is where I could finally play stable just like 1.63 did previously. It felt weird to be able to go anywhere on the map and not crash. I finally started PL missions. How would you feel if you pre-ordered the PL expansion and you can't even play it? I ordered it when they first announced it in early 2023. I even switched GPUs and pulled RAM and nothing helped. I reinstalled Windows 10 and that did nothing. This is sloppy work. They are working on too many projects at once and as a result rolling out low quality products. As you say they are not completely a POS company but they are sloppy. What I think happened with the PL release is that they partially released it with hidden place holders for code that they would add later and this affected a small number of players. I am still on my first play-through for 2 years since I got the game originally in 2021. I don't have time to play the game a lot and I have over 2100 saves last time I remember checking. And the 2.0 PL release affected me with over a 1000 hours of play on one play-through! Anyway, the game appears trouble free as of today. Very solid so they are doing something right but as I said before they are sloppy and very slow to release fixes.
Right.

GOG is the only storefront that offers DRM-free games. A practice that's as pro-consumer as it gets. Letting us own the games we bought and not be beholden to an app to allow us to play.

You can bypass the launcher easily because it's not meant as DRM.

CDPR also stuck around to fix and improve the game for three years when they could have simply cut their losses and moved on to the next project. The way so many have done before.

They're also one of the very few AAA developers out there that's not filling their games with micro transactions that would net them more money than expansion sized additions.

But the second some people face a launcher that adds a 1-2 seconds delay for us to get into the game they are demonized and greedy assholes exploiting us. That seems fair!

People wonder why CDPR, and almost every other development team out there, don't interact with their communities anymore. This is why. This kind of overblown anger at the smallest of things.

We deserve CDPR's silence.

Hello. My loot markers flicker when I move the camera around the marker. Does anyone have the same problem? And why is the distance to the loot markers so small? Previously, after scanning, they appearied for a long distance for some time, but now after scanning they immediately disappeared. It is very inconvenient to constantly use the scanner 100 times. And the map scrolling stutter when I use the "Auto" CPU usage setting, but when I select "Use high performance CPU usage" the problem goes away.
There is a mod called Better Loot Markers and once you have it you will never go back to vanilla again. Get it here and it will fix your problems. I had the same problem and would get close, pan around and they would disappear but since the mod it's been solid and the mod even shows you the type of loot it is so you don't have to always run and get it as you can tell whats there from a distance.

You're right that you have a right to be pissed if the product you bought doesn't work.

The thing people often forget is to remain fair and measured in their response. Anger is fine. There nothing wrong with being angry that the product you paid money for now doesn't work the way it's supposed to but anger should not be some crappy excuse to just lose your shit and go off on people or companies. And anger shouldn't be your reaction to minor stuff either.

Yet your post had nothing to do with the game itself. Your post was about the launcher and how it apparently magically erased everything good CDPR does or has done. Somehow this little launcher, that little launcher that adds at most a 1-2 seconds delay before you can play, was them sinking to new lows. That was your posts. It had nothing to do with crashes.

Being annoyed at the launcher is fine but what you did is take out your pitchfork, the tar and feathers and went after CDPR over a one second delay that wasn't there prior to patch 2.12. It's overblown anger over a terribly minor annoyance.

As for your crashes, I won't get into that too much since it's off-topic and apparently not an issue anymore but frankly I found your thread and the answer to your issue seems pretty clear cut and not something you can blame on CDPR. Official patches breaking your modded game isn't something to be blamed on developers. We choose to mod our games, that's on us. It's always been a fact of modding.

Choombatta, the trigger worked on the principle of choice in the main quests, i.e. killed Royce - a malstrom was triggered on me in Watson when I just stopped by their area, killed the voodooists - in Pacifica I was regularly rammed by their cars and fired at, or Arasaka in the center attacked for kidnapping Hanako, after the quest with Panam I was attacked in the wasteland by Spirits, i.e. this all happened regularly, after killing enemies, a note appeared about a reward for the protagonist’s head for different factions, the texts are different but the essence is the same. This refreshed the game, there was finally a sense of danger that V had made enemies for himself and you had to ride around the city and be prepared for attacks, but with patch 2.11 everything was broken and the feature didn’t work on consoles, this really upset me.
